Not sure if they're the best, but the Talley Lightweight ring/base combos are pretty good IMO.

Feel the exact same way about Remingtons and Rugers,that's why I ordered a Battue in 9.3x62.....Personally i don't like the fit, the feel or the look.

remignton mountain rifle in long or short or a model 7 in short standard or magnum.
The remington mountain rifle is more than 3 times the price.
I have a T3 lite in .300 WSM. Quality build, dead acurate. smoothest action around (Ok, so maybe Sako is better) Bit pricey for spare mags ($65-$100). Definitly will kick your teeth out. I put a limb saver on mine and now the recoil is managable. Come back T3... all is forgiven!
