Outfitters upset with some out-of-province hunters

If Hornepayne is like the rest of the areas a map ahead of time would do no good. My neighbour hunts that area & last yr went up 3 weeks early to fish & scout. When they went back in moose season some of the roads they had identified as good hunting areas now suddenly has signs on them :(

heres a sample of a sign that closed off our favourite moose hunting spot

Years ago we ran into the same thing east of Wawa. We parked at the sign walked in and shot moose. The American hunters we ran into were pissed. Wondered how we had gotten to the "wilderness fly-in lake" they were at. Anyways the MNR came in as we were packing out meat, wasn't a thing they could do about it.

How far could a guy make it in with a mountain bike? Those signs could be an opportunity for an enterprising hunter.

As usual the outfitters are complaining in the hope that everyone from out of province has to register with them so they can make more dollars for themselves.
