PAL "in progress"

Well, I passed the exam challenge. I only got one q wrong on the written and 100% on the practical.

I just have to wait to get the confirmation back from Orillia then I can mail off my app.

Woo hoo I finally got the ball rolling and am never going to let my license lapse again. I am ready to strike deadly fear into paper targets and clay pigeons.
 
doh! got a notice today saying I missed something on my application, I swear I triple checked that thing. Fast response anyhow, they received my appl on Jan 15th, reviewed it on the 19th and I got the notice today.
 
Does anyone know if CFC contacts your references after a firearms licence has been issued ? If you buy a gun will they ever contact your references again ?
 
My PAL/RPAL came in the mail Monday.By Tuesday night i had 5 firearms(3 restricted) home in the safe.Transfers and LTATT done over the phone in less than 5 mins.No references were called about the purchases nor was my wife called.After some of the horror stories i have heard the whole process turned out to be painless.

If it this is your 1st time you have a 28 day waiting period before they process it. So I wouldn't be calling rigth yet. You'll more then likely have before the end of Feb. I got mine in summer when it was slow and it took 36 days from the time they got it till the time I got the card in the mail. With everyone seeming to have sent them in now the time frame maybe longer.

Yeah I called them and I check the status online all the time, once every two days or so. It's in progress it says. The lady said it's just going for the final review where they call my references and stuff. Just last week I called them, and I did a phone interview with her. So we'll see..

Both references and myself were called.

Today (Feb. 8) is 45 days, and I should receive it in the next couple days. Not bad...but the wait has been agonizing as I miss out on good deals from the EE!
 
I just called for the status of my PAL, they received my application on the 15th of January, it has been processed and its just waiting the mandatory 28 day waiting period so should have it within the week or two! No phone calls to either reference or myself yet.
 
My app says it was received on feb 5th, but it was not registered on the site until the 10th (i checked it on the 9th with no luck). Mailed it on the 2nd from Alberta.

Cant wait!!!
