See that's funny it seems to be the case that they skipped may. My application was received may 6 and a friend was may 8. We were both charged the first few days of September however our applications still say competed initial processing. Has anybody with a may application received their pal?? Were in Alberta
what boggles my mind is that, every saturdays there seem to be some applications charged, idk if its delayed charge from friday, or its that miramichi are actually working on saturdays
anyhow, i like the rate they are going with new applications

it occurs to me that miramichi just want new applications to be done, they rushed all the new applications, and once their cc were charged, it gets issued within a month; they tend to forget about older applications, unless you call them, hence the horror stories of 19 month of pal application time
if i have to guess, any box ticked on the form? it might take longer

Hi Everyone!
Just registered, and have been following this forum for a while now. Like most of you, have been frustrated with the long wait times, and wanted to share my progress.
PAL and RPAL courses: Last week of May 2020.
Mailed Application (New applicant PAL/RPAL): June 1, 2020
Very little progress from this point. Called the CFO a few times and was told there was a backlog of applications, mail was held, and was going to have to wait.
Credit Card charged / Showing online: September 22, 2020. (Also shows application received now June 9, 2020.)
I called the CFO on September 24, 2020 due to the fact I had checked off a box regarding job loss on my application, and submitted a letter explaining it was due to Covid-19. However by this time I had returned to working full-time, and it was no longer a factor. They made a note to my application at that time.
Application approved, and in the mail: October 14, 2020.
Expecting it to arrive sometime this week. Looks like about a 5 month process right now.
Alberta Resident, and none of my references were contacted.

I also checked that I lost a job but on the paper I wrote because of Covid right next to the box. You think it will take longer or will they not are because I wrote it down. Or shouldI call them? Also with all the dates in mind when do you think I would be approved so I can get a range membership?

Lic sent June 8, cc charged mid sept. Got an email today oct 19 saying missing info. Called in and the needed my DL# as ID, i had listed my old pal but they said they couldnt use it. Gave info via phone and was told I was approved and my rpal would gt printed and sent out in a day or two. No calls to me, spouse or ref. Alberta app.
theres that section on the form you have to give 1 form of ID, i think most people used DLs, you can also use your passport or other govt issued IDs
