Just barely. It seems that the common theme with alot of them taking so long is Ontario/Quebec... I think your CFO's must hate their jobs or something.
 
Final Update:

ON application non-restricted

course completed November 20th 2020
mailed application on November 23rd 2020
RCMP received November 26th 2020
CC charged March 22nd 2021 and also appeared online
Faxed in course results (after writing reference number from RCMP site on top of form)
Refaxed course results April 8th using old school fax machine (for whatever reason no matter what online fax service I used it never completed)
Re-Refaxed results to a number the lady in Mirimachi gave me (1-888-449-7911) late April 12th.

Today I was approved and card issued.

And now the daily trips to the mailbox for my plastic to arrive!

Based on what I've read, Ontario seems to be one of the faster CFOs... Quebec is ALWAYS last and the worst. My file has been transferred to the QC CFO from the RCMP since early March, probably collecting dust. I asked both references stated on my RPAL application if they've received any calls from them, but nothing... radio silence.

I guess It's nice to have the opportunity to use the pandemic as an excuse to be slower than molasses...

I don't know how much of a difference it makes, but with work we go through a bunch of background checks for alot of our sites, so idk if that helps speed their decisions up or not. Cause I'm sure that would have been something that appears in their system.

I don't think it matters it seems to be luck of the draw. I am waiting on an RPAL upgrade, so I have had a background check every day since I got my pal but I am almost at 6 months myself (oct 29 received and Feb. 25th initial process completed) Alberta.

My timeline isn't really relevant because I had to send a replacement pic. But is as follows
-Application mailed Oct 8/20
-Received Oct 15/20
-Billed CC Feb 5/21. Then was informed by letter my photo wasn't acceptable, mailed replacement Feb 18/21
-Back to In Process Apr 9/21
-License issued Apr 11/21
