I’m still waiting though to go from initial review to issued. Should be any day now (he said hopefully).

x3

My dates are the exact same as you guys, but I faxed my results in separately from my application. Called last week, they have all parts, so now its just a matter of waiting for the status to change to "license has been issued"...the waiting SUCKS....

I have been watching this forum since I mailed my application in. here is my timeline for Alberta new Pal only application.
Received by registered mail Nov 26
CC Charged and online same day Jan 4/22
I talked to the CFP today and my application was approved on the phone. No references were phoned.
Application processed and issued online Feb 2
68 days from received to issued

Hurrah!!! License Approved
New BC PAL/RPAL
11/26/21 - Delivered/received by RCMP
1/4/22 - In online system with an application number; "We have completed the initial review of your firearms license application [...]"
1/4/22 - Credit card charged
2/3/22 - Called the RCMP office in NB to confirm all is good with the application and they confirmed it was and in the hands of the BC CFO (had to try a few times as their lines were full; then got through and put on hold about 10 min before speaking to someone)
2/3/22 - Called the BC office right after and got straight through. They checked my application and finished the process over the phone and approved it. Said it would take a few days to print the card and have it mailed.
2/3/22 - Checked my status online again and now says "Your application has been processed and your license has bee issued."

Total of 68 calendar days. Not bad, considering this will include the Christmas/New Year break and presumably delays due to COVID. Neither of my references were called. I was not called or asked any questions when I called other than those to confirm my identity and information.

I hope Canada Post doesn't lose the mail!!!

Congrats! Where did you obtain the phone number for the CFO of your province? I can't seem to find the one for Ontario.

Call the main CFP number at 1-800-731-4000 then enter the Ontario CFO extension at the appropriate prompt.

(I couldn't find PEI or NFLD)

NB 6000
NS 6505
QC 7005
ON 7503
MB 8004
AB 9026
SK 8502
BC 9530

I contacted the CFO for Ontario and was told that my application is missing information and a mail was sent to me by mail. however, I haven't received A mail as yet.
Has anyone ever experienced that?

I double-check my app and I can't see anything missing.
soooo frustrated.

Thank you!
Just got off the phone with Ontario CFO, she told me hq is still inputting my info, and that the Ontario office maybe would have my file by next week. Said no info is missing from what she can see. Was kinda hoping they could finalize my application over the phone, but instead was told its a 6-9 month wait right now...I sure as heck hope she is wrong based on the timelines others here have provided.

I called the CFP yesterday and was advised my application had been sent to the CFO-ON last Thursday. I called the CFO-ON today and was told that everything with my application looks good and it just needs to be assigned to an officer to conduct background checks, etc...but he also noted that my application was received (by the CFP) on November 24 (correct) and that it's taking 4-8 months & suggested I call back in a couple of months if there's been no change in my status.

Not quite the same impression I got from the CFP who, the two times I've called them (yesterday being the second), suggested I check back in a couple of weeks - not months. Based on today's call with the CFO-ON, I could concievably get approved any time from now to the end of July.
