PAL Wait Time

For anyone that has been arrested in the past but has never been convicted of a crime.. the steps you should follow are this:
Address a letter to the police station’s chief, requesting to have your arrest history/finger prints (if done) removed. Obviously you’ll have to explain why you want it but a good reason is “for peace of mind” and that you’re a good citizen and that incident was ages ago.

Goodluck

March 27th, 2023 called CFP and they told me that my application is with the BC CFO
Does any body know how much time will it take at this stage.
Should I consider calling the BC CFO?

This is exactly what I did and it works

I came to Canada in march 2018 but i applied for license in February 2023 .

Final Update

My Timeline (BC applicant),

Mailed: July 11, 2022
Delivered: July 15, 2022
CC Charged: Sep 24, 2022
Initial review completed: Sep 24, 2022
License Issued: Oct 7, 2022
Card in Hand: ?

Called 1-800-731-4000 (1-5-2) twice, first time they said that they are processing the photo and the second time they said that the license has been sent to the CFO.

Called 1-800-731-4000 (1-1-9530) twice the first time they kept me on hold and then the officer said that all looks good but she can not approve the application as of now as I need to submit a PCC (Police Clearance Certificate) or a letter of good conduct from the previous country I lived in as it has been less than 5 years since I came to Canada. I called them again the next day after sending them the doc to make sure they received it and they approved it half an hour after the call.

I came to Canada in march 2018 but i applied for license in February 2023, the licence is currently with BC CFO, when i called the lady she said that i may need to give a PCC and i sent in the PCC which i applied for immigration purposes.
Can you give me any suggestion on what else should i do to support my application

Rcmp received my application dec 19 2022, called rcmp many times but nothing changed, they just told me my application is with cfo. So i sent a mail to cfo last monday, an officer sent me mail wednesday ( i am not sure if they contacted me.because of my mail) saying i have a missing document so i shared the doc rightaway. Friday i received another mail sayin they approved my application. Now i am waiting my card

New here, this is my timeline in BC. Sent snail mail and with a certified check.

Application received Feb 22
Lisence issued April 4th.

So now I wait 2 weeks for it to show up.
Is there any way to get the number on the card to buy anything before the card shows up?
Am I allowed to have guns in my home without having the card yet?

Tomorrow makes two weeks since my application has been approved and card issued. Really hoping my card comes tomorrow but in the email from the CFO, they said it’ll come in 2 to 4 weeks.

EricCire,
Yes.
When I called the CFO and they told me my PAL was approved I asked them what my number was and they told me.
Then, the store where I was buying my rifle printed a temporary certificate from the RCMP's site. I was able to bring my rifle home.
