I find any of these Turk shottys arrive pretty dirty and soaked in some dirty kind of preserving oil lol. If you seen any videos of these "factories", dudes basically sitting there doing final assembly, filling parts, goes out back, shoots off some rounds, goes back in for more filing and tweeking, then more rounds, then in the box and call it a day lol.
I was iffy on all of them as there were basically mixed reviews no matter what brand they were.
I grabbed the cheapest one i could find last year, Hunt Group MX4 from Tenda on sale, it was like $450 to the door.
Did take it all apart first, everything, recoil tube apart, whole thing, cleaned and lubed and went out with 75 rounds of mixed shells, 7.5, 6 Heavy Field, low recoil buck shot, had 1 fail to grab next round with the 7.5 stuff, everything else worked fine. Checked for any abnormal wear/damage where the piston rods engage the bolt, back of bolt lugs looking for displacement, all good, but I did put grease in the receiver channels where the rods slides and back of bolt lugs.
The M4 design is solid, I don't like shotguns that much to drop $2000+ on a Benelli, but i think any of these will run fine for a long time if you clean and lube a few parts often enough to mitigate any questionable heat treat or questionable steel lol.
They are a lot of fun to shoot, had mine out for a buddies clay shooting birthday party, didn't really fit in with the rest of the shot guns, but everyone had to have a go with it lol. Having the Mobil choke option helps make it work for anything, may use it for Turkey in the fall for #### and giggles. Pretty good for $450.
