Parker hale m82-m87-C3-C3A1 Rifles

Nice Canadian issue C3 Unertl scope just sold for 4655 USD down south. That's an eye watering $6600 Canadian. A little rich for my blood but only the second one I have ever seen for sale.

The surplussed CF C3 Unertl go for between $2000-$2300 CDN depending upon condition.

I'm surprised, the USO scopes go for about $3500 on average, figured an "original" Unertl would be worth more. But in the US they really go ape for the Unertl scopes, most of those on the CMP auction got for around the $6000 CDN mark as well. The C3 scopes usually for a little less.

Canadian issued Kahles ZF69 just sold for $852US or $1190 Canadian on Gunbroker. Seems to be the same east coast Canadian source as the C3 Unertl I previously noted.

Both scopes were sold by Armament Technology Halifax NS. I spoke with them prior to the sale of the 10x. No history on either scope however both are rare' especially the 10X Unertl C3a1 being correct and fully functional. Does anybody know who purchased these? I'm assuming the Buyers where in the USA. Ron

"gordonlbyrne" Was able to maximize your pix. 1200TX re-barreled ? Give us some details on barrel maker...obviously stainless? Stock? Scope? Nice rig! Ron

well i picked this up at the local gun store 2 years ago,the barrell is a mccmillian 308 on it ,i have never fired it .I think the barrell may be in the white and not blued. The stock leaves me a bit confused as it some how dose not look right at the hand grip area .Its marked PH on bolt flat and recoil pad as i remember .dont know if its wood with a rubberized coating over it or if its synthetic.i did have it out of the stock and it as been bedded.i dont know who built it other than he had passed on and his wife sold it.

"gordonlbyrne" check maker of the barrel. May be McClellan" - Rob was a small barrel manufacturer in Ontario who catered to the "F" class shooters. He worked mainly in stainless and build awesome barrels and rigs. The stock most likely is an original 1200 TX and been built up and coated...could be aftermarket...is there a marker on the recoil pad? Was the former Owner a DCRA shooter? Should be easy enough to find out if you have a surname. Ron

"55reece" Advertised as a C3 however it's a 1200TX from the serial number. The Kahles scope is well beyond the C3 range. RWS Gunsmithing has been building rigs for the past few years and selling them as C3 or C3a1's. He built a C3a1 clone from a Parker Hale M84 - looked good. Believe the Owner resides in Canada and posted a couple pictures. Ron

The M40A1 clone I sold to another member here has a Mclellan barrel and it was super accurate, a great barrel.

That stock kind of looks like one of Ian Robertson’s old patterns, he had a few “tactical” type stocks in addition to the TR type stocks he made. So sad he closed shop.

checked the barrel marking and you are correct it is a mac lennon barrell, has a parkerhale recoil pad,ph on the bolt flat221.jpg

"gordonlbyrne" Nice rig. It's definitely a 1200 TX action and bolt re-barreled with a Rob McLellan barrel. Stock is a restyled 1200 TX coated with a rubberized compound. Former Owner was serious competitive shooter. Ron

so are these rifles quite common or not ,This is a heavy rifle not something you would carry in the bush.I have never fired it but may give it a try when the weather warms up and things get back to normal.
What is a rifle like this worth no days

Perhaps others can chime in but what I have seen for selling prices is generally in the $1100 to $1500 ranges for a 1200TX. I missed an L81a1/M83 single shot target rifle that was selling for $1300 which is the closed top receiver. A 1200TX just sold on EE and I think it was in the $1200 range.

They come up from time to time in various configurations, often with a C3/ Cadet style stock and some sort of optic.

Here is a Parker Hale M84 I acquired many years ago. It shoots like a laser beam, 7.62mm single shot.20170920_191525 (1).jpg20170920_195124.jpg20170920_195511.jpg
