I bought a TDC in 9mm for small game hunting and as a SHTF rifle for someone who's small in stature. A small woman or a child could easily use it. 10 seconds and a power tool and you can have it capable of throwing serious amounts of lead down range in a hurry.
I've also got a Rossi M92 in .454 Casull and wouldn't have any problem using it on anything up to, and including moose within 150ish yards.
I don't think there is one person on this board who would want to stand in front of a 9mm coming at them. That's for sure.
My Rossi Puma in 454 Casull clocked 1820FPS with 300grains bullets with only 29grains of H110, that's not even max load and I bet it would be good enough for hunting.
And it is light, NR and fits 10 rounds in the tube.
My NEA AR15 7.5' Barrel $1500 all accessorized so 1/3 is not accurate9mm Jr or thuron is a non restricted 10 round package at a third of the price of a non restricted .223
900$ for a JR compared to 2500 for an xcr, 2600 for a tavor, 2500 for a famae sg540
Not many people can afford 2500$ on a non restricted 10 round semi automatic with all the fun tactical accessories that can be mounted on them.

Any PCCs in .357 SIG yet?
this is probably the only reason why I would get a PCC. bonus if it can share mags with my pistol.

I've hummed and hawed for a while on a PCC but can't pull the trigger. I can't see it as a good camp gun, sorry don't think 9mm, .40 or .45 will stop an angry bear fast enough for my liking. Small game gun? No way, 9mm on rabbit or squirrel is crazy over kill and will ruin meat big time. Varmints, well maybe, but you will run out of range and accuracy in a hurry, close up, sure. Best roll for a PCC (other than a plinker, which im sure it is great for)would be HD, 10 rounds of your favourite pistol round would be effective as HD, bolt on a flashlight and go...
I may get one someday but only as a plinker or present for the wife or kids, just my thoughts on PCCs, YMMV.
And what about accuracy .. hmmmm
I have not shot my .45 Thureon Defense further than 25 meters but it still hits where I place the red dot...unlike my Daniel Defense.
Caliber effectiveness debate aside, that course taught me a lot about the usefulness of PCC's. I just wish I could buy one that I could trust to be reliable.
