PCP Webley Raider in 177 on sale

With my hill mk4 I can easily pump past 200bar and I weigh around 160lbs, you shouldn't have cheaped out.

Chuckle, I'm not cheap, I'm frugal. And the Raider is a 200 bar pcp rifle... Unless I catch a pcp bug, the Raider is it...

If I want to hang my balls out to dry, I just break out my Cadex Tremor in 50BMG. Then I'm a baller! Chuckle

It's all technique over anything else..130lbs here and I had no problem pumping up my FX Cyclone to 230bar with an FX pump.
I can't image the Hatsan being any worse...

When on the down stoke instead of just relying on your weight, you push down with your weight..Once you overcome the initial resistance it's not that bad..

I was going super slow & steady. Wasn't bad nor did it take long to accomplish. I guess I will hone my technique over time.

Cheers

Can make a lever to give more leverage to make it easier to pump.

It's not hard to pump the Hatsan PCP pump. Remember, I am totally new to PCP! Newbie alert!

I got a G6 pump, but I also got a SCUBA tank. I just don't like no more parts for it. Why theyre selling for less. End of the line production.

Raider seems to be holding the 200 bar of pressure!

One criticism of the Raider is the pressure gauge on the underside... it could have been BIGGER & EASIER to read...

Cheers

For that price, though, not many PCPs end up having pressure gauges at all! Don't worry, you got a great deal. And for the pumping, yes, you'll get better over time with it. I've used a few different types of pumps, but they were all pretty much the same. The Hill was the nicest, but it's also the heaviest!

My maximus is on the bottom, my 2260 is on the tank on the side. Be glad Its not a Hatsan, Its on the end of the air tube so gotta look down the muzzle to see it.

Do some chrony work with it, and then you just be able to go by number of shots. I know one of my gun I'll get 20 good shots.

So how does it shoot? I seen your post about the same time I was eyeing up a .22 Benjamin Discovery on the Canadian Airgun forum. I ended up going that way as I wanted a .22 and it came with a pump. It came with a Boyd's laminate stock, very nice 3-12 scope with tactical turrets, power adjuster screw and aftermarket trigger. It hits hard and the Benjamin pump seems very high quality. I added a dessicant filter to the intake on it to limit moisture getting into the pump. Princess Auto has them for $25 in the air compressor section.

I have not had a chance to hit the range yet. Too busy with work & family stuff.

I will get there! And shoot groups...

Hey, I wanted to ask where I could find the Boyd's stock for my disco? Thanks.

Hopefully it shoots as nice as my Discovery. It is a rack driver, at 50 yards I get far better groups than I ever had with a .22lr even a target rifle. I shot a 3 shot group that was a ragged hole at 50 yards and if nobody is at the range I leave the earmuffs in my bag.

Love PCPs had my Condor for 10 years now.

I prefer the .25 barrel for gophers out to 150 yards. Have a few friends running 9mm and .45 rifles but they drop off pretty quick compared to .25s. Found that .25 pellets outperform .22 pellets, you can get up to 77 grain Black Mamba slugs. :)

Here are our Condors with our bench kits.

Thanks, we having playing and modding them for years to learn the limits.

I also have a 858cc tank for pesting.

Just love it when farmers say no powder and we bring out these. :)

PS love your Webley, a true piece of art, I miss my old .22 Webley Patriot's stock and deep bluing. :(

Finally got to the range with my Webley Raider!

I am happy with it! I shot 20 rounds before recharging it with the Hatsan pump, I friggen forgot to look at the pressure gauge on the rifle BEFORE charging it back up. Sigh, old age kicking in...

Anyhow, here are some pics & a typical 10 m group. At 5 meters it is 3/4 of an inch low, 10 m it is dead on, and again, dead on @ 20m. So I guess it 'peaks' between 10 & 20 m???

Either way, the grouse are in trouble in the fall!!! :ar15:

Cheers
Jay
