Sweet!! Is the bolt carrier/buffer modified on that thing? Looks like it would have to be. Any pics of the internals??

Awesome! I've wanted to build a 9mm AR for a while now. Where did you get those mags? I was thinking of building one with glock mags to as they are readily available (and 10 rounds).OK so just like Kevin M did - from the ashes this topic rises yet again with some cool lookin pics !!!!
RRA AR15 9mm 7.5" - MagPul hardware.
Its not done. The Aimpoint is airs h i t and is there for mock up only. Trying to decide if I should go with a real H1 or a EOTech XPS2-2 Holographic ... I may also adapt a Noveske KX3 (Flaming Pig) on the front, I say adapt becuz they only come in a 1/2 x28 thread. Would need to retap to 1/2 x 36.
Anybody try this on a 9mm AR PDW yet ?
Here it is beside a CAR 15 build - size is very similar.
With the carbines ..

I found a top end on CGN with a 5" barrel , I believe it to be an ATR Barrel so it is 5/8 x24 TPI .I found the barrel so short that it felt like your fingers could slip over the end, as well as the angled fore grip stuck out to far and looked stupid. So I built on the lathe out of aluminum , we will see how long it holds up. If I ever get to the range enough to torture test it. I am sure you could drill the flaming pig and re tap it but the 1/2 x 36 thread taps are stupid expensive, I think they quoted me $146.00 at the machine tool place.
I wanted to build a fake can for the 16" upper on the colt but figured a way around it , I built a sleeve for the barrel that comes back to the front sight post, then the tube fit over that with a pocket for the flash suppressor, this way there is no gas allowed back into the canister. Makes it look like a 12" with a silencer.

The only solution is to cut off the existing muzzle thread and recut new 1/2-28 thread along with a new crown. Ei
Which as you already know is then creating a prohibited device. We have had this discussion before. You are NOT legally allowed to cut down the barrel on an AR15 style firearm. I don't like that bit of law either but to encourage someone into breaking the law??????
