Pelican case

I'm going to get my Storm 3300 from c2csafety in California. It seems to be $75 cheaper there than anybody in Canada.

It's not really on topic, but is the 1620 the most suitable case for 4-5 triggerlocked handguns?

spent $1700 on rifle and ouching about $270 for the case? where is the logic?? :)

It's the Canadian Shooters form...

You either buy a $2000 rifle and put a $200 scope on it or...

You buy a $200 rifle and tart it up with $2000 in stupid accessories or "mods"

Either way... You're out $2200 :)

Yessir. It comes to US$265.19 shipped, plus 13%+5$ at the border, which comes to a little less than $300 all in after the exchange. The guy in Calgary wants $377.42 .

I will take the Pelican 1750 with foam for $250.I see no point in paying an extra $50 for the Storm.

i think I will just buy the pelican for 262.50+gst at the optical place in Calgary, why wait for shipping when you don't have to..

I just returned from Bass Pro , Vaughn Mills store north of Moronto. The Pelican 1750 in Black is $ 249.99 and the Readhead (clone 1750) in Tan is $ 249.99 :D

Hope this helps you precision rifle addicts!! :sniper:

Cheers,
Barney

I work at a Bumper to Bumper auto parts store, and we are an Acklands Grainger dealer as well. Most the Acklands stuff we sell is sold lower than what Acklands sells it for retail. Try going to a local Bumper to Bumper store and ask if they can get it in for you and what the price is. You may be able to get it at a comparable price and they shoulden't charge you shipping to bring it in since Acklands is a regular supplier.

Just got a new 1720 TODAY ...and it is too short by about 1 inch. It is really nice ( not heavy )...but too dam short... I guess I should have paid more attention to the INTERIOR dimensions..

It will be cheaper now for me to sell it then trying to return the thing ...I got it in the states!!

How do you figure? I can drive down and pick up a 1750 for $262+gst in 15 min from there. Your place is $199US plus $72US shipping, plus raping at the border.

Those guys are roughly 25% more expensive than US stores like c2csafety, even after shipping.

Price shipped to Ontario for a Storm 3300 from Optimal: $377.42
Price from c2csafety: US$265.19 + 13% HST + $5 brokerage + exchange = ~C$300

I'm assuming the case is not subject to duty, which may or may not be valid. So Optimal appears to be 25% more expensive for the exact same case.
