I have a friend who has had her restricted for a year now, but still hasn't bought a gun yet. I'm out of the loop when it comes to smaller frame guns. She's tiny. She's asian. She's looking for her first handgun, and has about 7 bills to spend on a 9mm semi.

She's shot my G17 and Sig226 the grips are too fat for her.

What are your suggestions? Anybody in the Nanaimo area want to show her your guns? :D

if you can find a single stack 1911 in 9mm. it might be alright.

I have small hands and a single stack 1911 in .45 auto is a great fit.

S&W M&P9-JG, Sig Sauer P239 Tactical, STI GP6, or a grip-reduced Glock 19
 
I own a norc 1911 in 45 acp, and i have small man hands, so to get it to fit right, i got some old wooden grips and snaded them down between the screw holes, now it fits me perect for single and doublr hand hold. One way to decide if the grip is two big, is, do her middle finger and thumb touch without effort. if they touch ok, than the grip is the right size. if you live in ontario, you can come to my range in the spring and she can try my 45.

I will get her to look at the swmp9 and the rugersr9. they seem to be in the pricepoint. I have a singlestack 1911 myself, and they may be too much metal for her.
 
have a M&P9 i like it but my wife doesnt finds it moves too much even with small grips on.l but for better muzzle control better half prefers a heavier pistol hence the CZ75. these are her opinions.
 
Take her to a gun store that has a lot of pistols in stock and let her put some fingerprints on a bunch. You will need a personable clerk, but that should not be a problem if she is interested in making a purchase. If there is a gun store that has a variety of rental pistols in your area, that would be your best choice. That way she can shoot and make her own decision.
