PGW coyote

No i didnt but i will be the first one to tell if they are better, i will have access to one next summer since one of my shooting partner have one in order ( 3X18X50 FFP) and i will spend time with one... JP.

I have both and to my eyes the glass in the razor 2 is just as good as the glass in my schmidt and benders.

Well what do you know eh ... I think I love this rifle more now ... ;) Thanks for that tidbit of info. :D

p.s. PGW folks you rock! HAPPY NEW YR! ;)

p.p.s Dorian I thought about asking for irons as well. HAHA :p

Wait until you shoot it ;) Me, Viper and Swissin will be heading out tomorrow to play with 4 PGW rifles from .308 - .50BMG. -7 brrŕrrr!;)

For me the glass isn't an issue. What is ,however, is the mechanics. If you talk to the guys at Rifle's Only down in the US they will tell you that they see problems with pretty much every high end optic EXCEPT S+B. They put a lot of people through courses and competitions down there and are talking about direct experience. There is also a reason that a lot of militaries use only S+B. But that is neither here nor there as this thread is about the Coyote. Having shot them and the Timberwolf many times I can attest to their accuracy and durability. These guns shoot! I'm in the process of building a new rifle and I'm thinking I'd like to do it on a Coyote action if they are available.

:p Why not, they make a superior mag IMHO. BTW I had the TIMBERWOLF and it was so accurate to the point of boring:p You guys build good stuff. Question on the A5 stock option for the Coyote, can you get it with Terry Cross's aka loggerhead cheekrest option? Thanks.

Last thing I need to do is buy parts off a competitor and allow them to control the flow of my products out the door...

The mag for the original Twolf and Coyote was the HS Precision system. The prototype, and first runs used their bottom metal and magazines. Eventually we made our own mags, and a bottom metal to follow the same pattern as the HS stuff we had in service. To introduce a new magazine for the rifle would mean I would have multiple variants out there, and the associated logistical problems. The magazine cut in the receiver is very specific to the mag body, so it isn't a matter of swapping it out. Our .308 mag is actually a double stack, but funnels up to a centre feed. The big problem is the follower in our mag which is thicker than the HS and it steals some round count.

If McMillan makes the stock in that configuration, just tell them you want it inlet for a Coyote and order what you want. Our stocks are inventoried in a specific combo to streamline supply.

I used a long allen key and it only removed the pistol grip??? The metal block under the grip is that suppose to move? Any info/help appreciated.

Great thread for a noob like me who wants precision and has no time to build it piece by piece. Pgw gets my future business if they have time to take it. They sound busy! In a good way.

I bought a Coyote this fall from Steve and Ross. Wonderful guys, amazing product...almost made me want to empty the safe since nothing else in there cloverleafs like this beauty. I secretly curse them and Chris for the dent in the bank account but only half heartedly. This is the first purchase I have made without a hint of buyer's remorse.

Nay sayers will disagree, but the product and customer service is exceptional. If you want a custom, buy a custom...but each one of these is a custom job. Start to finish a whole shop of measurement obsessed compulsives from OCDs anonymous making magic 1 item at a time. If I may add...the cleanest shop I have ever seen...for a production facility.

I'm gathering money now for my PGW Coyote purchase. First, like many, there is stuff I have to sell before but I'll get there !

Viallet: I'm glad to hear that they keep things in order in the shop. They must apply 5S methodology rigourously. That way, they are assured to use the right tool for the right job and that everything is in its place at all times ! Too bad i will not be able to pick up my rifle when its ready, living 3000km away from Winnipeg.

Thanks to PGW Steve and others for adjustment info as the grip is now forward where my trigger hand is comfy. Also lowered the cheekriser so she is good to go. Now if it wasn't -50 today I'd go shooting ... HAHA ... maybe tomorrow as it's already getting dark.

Was there a manual that came with the rifle?
