Finally the weather was sort of nice to go shooting at the range today & site in my scope. It was +3 and 22km wind SW. 100 yard range 5 shot group. 1st round bottom left, 2nd middle left, 3rd far right, 4th & 5th centre ... not bad for me! HAHA. I love this thing as it's smooth loading, rock solid. I can't wait to shoot this out longer distances. Shot HOrnady A-max 168 gr match bullets. Scope is a Leupold Mark 4 M1-16x

Nice, but grow a thick skin. You'll need it here.

He's been here since '04. I think he's seen the crap. Not to mention he is a really nice guy.

Nice rifle and nice starting group. Wish I could find those super long ranges you got out there! Can't wait to hear how she performs on the long stuff!!

You should sell it... its ugly as hell, MSG me "I know a guy" into ugly inaccurate guns that will take that off your hands... HAHHA

Love It!

LOL !!! Coming from you that is really hilarious. Otokiak is a great guy and has some nice toys - albeit in the wrong colour :)

Tomochan I didn't want to wait and they had this one there so I just got the tan one and yet I didn't shoot the darn thing forever so probably could've waited for it to be painted in od green. HAHAHA! I'm thinking of spraying a little bit of brown & black on it like our tundra colors or camo tape parts in those colors. I love how smooth the bolt slides a round into the chamber. The 50bmg iron sites rifle will come out again soon. ;)

p.s. Tomochan if you know anyone willing to trade a PGW 338 lapua timberwolf for a PGW single shot 50bmg let me know as I dont' need two. HAHAHA.

Or average thickness of skin works from what I've seen. I really don't think anyone means any harm. Just helpful advice that's very easy to ignore.

Jason, wicked rig. Can't wait to see a Tangent Theta on it!

Personally, I have to make sure mine look good to make up for the shooting ;)

FF57 I'd love to put on a Tangent Theta TT315P (Long Range Tactical Scope 34mm Tube, 3-15x50mm) but sadly nobody stocks them in Canada & folks are waiting FOREVER to get theirs. HAHAHA. ;)

Awesome rifle, and scope!

But I wanna see more of that 50 with iron sights in action ;)

With this purchase I think Otokiak qualifies as a Prairie Gunworks enthusiast; his poor old Springfield M1-A leans forgotten in the corner, unloved and unappreciated. So is there a mid-bore on the horizon, maybe a .338 Lapua? By now you must be Ross's favorite northerner.

Just as a suggestion that you may feel free to ignore . . . when I'm shooting with a bi-pod on a hard surface, like a bench, a rock, or even frozen ground, I put my mitts under the feet to act as a cushion. This seems to stop the feet from sliding on a smooth surface when you load the bi-pod, and the cushion results in slightly tighter groups, and fewer fliers.

I'm curious... The Coyote is a heavy rifle once equipped with the bipod and scope. How's the recoil like with its muzzle break? I guess it is very soft and smooth, and must make it very easy for follow up shots.

HAHAHAA Boomer my M1A Rochelle gets used all the time still bud nobody puts baby in the corner. HAHAHAHA. I'd trade my single shot 50bmg for a 338lapua timberwolf straight up if I could find one. As for the bipod it was used for the pictures and then removed and used bags ... which doesn't help me much as I just sited in that scope, was hung over and wind in my face and well I'm not that good a shot apparently. HAHAHA. Cheers Boomer,

Very nice Jason ! I got to check out my friends Coyote and they are impressive to say the least .. .well done and tight groups !

spatrick it had more kick than I thought it would or maybe it was just the bang from the muzzle and I was hung over so I gotta go try again very soon and see how she shoots again. HAHA.

Hung over, Hahaha!

I find my Timberwolf really soft when shooting 250gr bullets. The 300gr pills are a little harder on the shoulder, I must admit. Since the Coyote is only one pound less than the Timberwolf, I would have expected it to be really soft on recoil. You'll have a better opinion when you'll have shot more rounds with it.

I plan on adding the Coyote to my collection when the finance allows it.
