Gebruder Merkel combination gun model 210/250E made in 1961. Primary barrel set is 16/70 full over 7x57R and the Secondary set is 16/70 full over 16/70 modified. Scope is a Hensoldt diavari in claw mounts. All bores are like new and both sets of bbl's are serial number matcing with the same DOM as the receiver.
I have the original buttplate, but I went with a pachmayr 0.6 pad because it made the rifle fit me a bit better and the toe is less likely to get broken off in the field, but the pad is fitted to the butt, no vice-versa, so the original plate can be put back on at any time.
VERY happy with this acquisition. Planning on taking it on my white tail hunt in New Brunswick this year so that if I shoot a deer on day 1, I can still hunt birds for the rest of the week with the second bbl set
What do you guys think?
