Now, that is a camp!

IMHO, using trailers, etc. is not a "camp" in the sense of setting up a temporary tent moose, elk, goat or deer camp or, a permanent structure with some history and tradition to it.

I have been in all types of "camps" in all types of weather, northern, central and south B.C. and all over Ontario, from minimal survival to posh.

But, every one makes his own decisions.

One last comment though, in bad weather, nothing beats a camp with a lot of good wood heat for drying out, whether in a temporary camp or a permanent. Trailers, slide in campers on pick-ups, 5th wheels just don't cut it.

We have a permanent camp set up for most of our elk hunting. The area is also good for WT deer and grouse and some moose too. If we want to explore further afield for moose I use my wall tent or tipi.

Here's a few taken at the family cabin that was handed down to my sister and I.

With one of the guys working on a pair we got at the beginning of a trip a few years ago.

The cabin was handed down to my sister and I. It won't be many years before we in turn, hand it down to our kids. In the mean time, there's a few more Moose I'd like to work on thinning out. A niece has been there and done some tidy up operations on the interior of it.

My first real hunt thanks to mentor. Serious lack of Bucks though (Does a plenty)

Blargon,
Isn't it a PITA dragging that long of a camper into the bush?

First year with it this season. We used to rent a house, but it was no longer available. After using it this year, with 4-5 guys, I wouldn't want a smaller one. This one is 28'. Worked great.

Hey "Sly old fox",
does a "slide-in" count if it's parked at the camp LOL.
When this one finally falls apart, i will look for a "Trilium" trailer.

IMO, a camp is what you make of it, not what it is made of.

We're more about the hunting than the camping. Its a place to dry off, lay your head down, cook a meal and share some laughs. I'd rather just park and go hunting, so for us the trailer cuts it just fine...
