Imagine the thunder from all those radials, deafening. You can see all the boats around the Missouri that brought the various parties out for the ceremony.

They should have signed it on shore IMO. Right in front of the Imperial Palace.
 
Those are Douglas A-20 Havoc light bombers btw.
I read long time ago a memoir by one of Russian Naval Fleet pilots about them using those airplanes.They loved it very much.They loved B-25's even more.
 
Sort of like "Rader rollen fur dem Sieg", but set to music, just a couple years earlier.

Sentiment was much as in "Bomben Uber Engeland" and "Wenn Wir Fahren Gegen Engeland".

Very artsy bunch, the Nasties.

Joe I enjoy looking at your pictures. I am pleased you have a picture of the armada of aircraft flying over the USS Missouri during or around the Signing of the Japanese Instrument of Surrender.
