Picture of the day

So whatever happened to poor, tired-looking L7540?

Overshot a landing 15 April 44 and was written off. No fatalities or casualties, which is good. Got her guys back.

Today they'd call her "The Cookie Monster"! ;)

Cover from observation and cover from fire are often different:eek:. The guy in the background could almost pass for a young Pierre Trudeau. But we know that isn't true as he actually spent WW2 hanging out on a Quebec university campus, living off his wealthy daddy's money and styling around on his motorcycle while a million of his betters volunteered for military service.:puke:

The proper terms are: CONCEALMENT is anything that hides you from enemy observation. Concealment does not protect you from enemy fire. COVER gives protection from bullets, fragments of exploding rounds, flame, nuclear effects, and biological and chemical agents. Cover can also conceal you from enemy observation. (FM 21-75, Chapter 1)

Not me. I don't have so much time on my hands. Do a google picture search and you may find out who deserves the credit.

"Leonardo DiCaprio was fearless, for he knew this pack of wankers couldn't hit #### aiming like that."

"Flammenwerfer Alexanderplatz" sounds like the title of the latest Rammstein album.

Apparently, Germans were pretty serious about riot control. Other countries bounce birdshot off the pavement and into the shins of bottle throwers. In 1920's Germany, they set them on fire...

Just proves that Hitler's interest in the occult simply followed an earlier German tradition he may have learned in the Army in WW1 ... Earth, Air, Fire, Water -- as any good medieval alchemist / wizard could tell you, it's VERY important to select the right one of the four elements to use in any situation. In modern times, we go with Water for riot control, and we have to use great big, vehicle-mounted water cannon to try to break up riots, often without much success. If you pick Fire, on the other hand, a tiny little two-man backpack sprayer does the job in a tenth the time...

I thought he looked kinda like Dennis Hopper. "Zap 'em with your siren, man!"

Maybe they were worried about this:

Considering how light the plating looks there I'm amazed there wasn't more damage. That was damn good flying to hit her right at the water line too.
