its not very popular with the Infantry either ... but someone has to do it. Here's one vote for the Armoured CorpsThe same principle applied to the Ferret scout car which we used into the early '70s. The idea was to sneak and peek for information and evade as quickly as possible if engaged. Recce by death is rather unpopular with the crews.
More Militracks. It NEVER fails to impress me about how totally uptight and officious some Canadians are when it comes to German wartime vehicles in display or events. Canada was never overrun and brutally occupied as the Netherlands where. Yet 70+ years later they (Holland) have moved on hence this invite only display of German vehicles. This June, wow just next week, I will be participating in the largest convoy of German vehicles in France since 1944 where we will have six Schwimmwagens in the Douve river near Carentan as part of our convoy. Pics to follow.

Never enough vehicles. Horse were still needed.
Like the Apaches, war horses are ridden 'till they drop and then wind up in the soup pot.

Very true. Private Pferd played an important role, and suffered right along with the soldiers.
