It's a 16-inch gun barrel that once roared from the deck of the battleship Missouri during World War II, and it now rests — 120 tons, 68 feet long — at the Battery 519 Museum at Fort Miles, which is part of Cape Henlopen State Park.

Hi fugawi,
I haven’t been there since about 1960, and I could not find CFB Shilo using Google Earth, so I figured it may have gone the way of CFB Chilliwack.
I did find and it's still there.

Post 1348, is a picture of an abandoned Italian gun captured by the German and Austro-Hungarians after the Battle of Caporetto in 1917

Just look for shilo, mb on Google Earth. It's still alive and well, altho we had to do a lot of spadework to keep it open after the German Army training shut down in Shilo 10-12 yrs ago. This involved relocating 2PPCLI from Winnipeg to Shilo, a decision which many army wives are still cussing. Incidentally the arty museum is in nice facilities and is well worth a visit.
