What is a very very good condition 27-2 N with an 8 5/8 barrel worth? Made early 1970 with slight cylander wear showing?
 
Hahaha. I want one, about as much as I want to keep my marriage a happy one. She doesn't dictate my purchases, but she's got a hell of a backhand for when I buy things out of bracket. Bought an old Skeeter Skelton book for $160 some years back...I can still hear that one. Haha
 
Oh, I hear you on that one! She Who Must Be Obeyed is best kept happy! My gal is pretty understanding, but she does draw the occasional line. Something about trading up my Cayman for a new Carrera S rubbed her the wrong way recently....so I decided to keep the Cayman.

But she has to understand about the Skeeter Skelton book! The man helped bring about the .41 Magnum with Elmer Keith and Bill Jordan for goodness sake!! That's legendary!!

She has a sixth sense for these things. I can't explain it. I've tried explaining these things to here. Innovators. Forefathers. Wheelgun gods. It's lost on her. Haha. Some of the old stories about Askins sure caught her attention though.

Spent some time away from the classics...really just down to a '59 Ithaca Riot....but it's time to get back to them now. In my early 30s, I figure if I don't catch up now, these pieces will be lost to history, and a metric ton of Tupperware ;)
