Pictures of S&W M27 and M28 Post them Here!!!

Well, in 15 or 20 years I will probably be looking at selling most of the collection. Start saving now, I want it to go to a good home.

My youth leaves me without patience; my early onset revolver love, has me dreaming of the days of yore. If you see any nice 27-2s or 28s before you retire, don't hesitate to give me a holler.

Do you have any 44 specials in the collection? Was Keith right about the calibre?

At last count, there's currently 5, 5" barrelled 27-2's in Alberta. Right Twisted? My brother's 5" may not be making the journey across the border, so it may end up with with my 2. That would make 6 in one province!

No specials, was never fortunate enough to find a nice one. As far as 27-2s and 28-2....i have about 5, but you said Yes Dear won't approve!

Even if I found a 44 special, if probably only shoot it once a year. Would certainly be a heck of a thing to have historically. Five? You lucky boy. Oh, she wouldn't stop me from buying - she'd just give me a smack if I went overboard on pricing. If you are actually willing to part with any of them, I'd love to hear your ask. Shoot me a message anytime, even if you just want to chat about how impractical a 44 special would be. Haha

I've made this thread a 'stickie'....

After much dialogue with a fellow forum member from Alberta I finally got a deal done on an early 1975 production M27-2 5 inch barrel. He purchased it as a graduation present for himself. MD Charton polished the guts, did the trigger work and shaved the forcing cone 11 degrees to cut back on lead pieces flying everywhere. The woods where taken off immediately, put away and the hogue was put on. I'm extremely happy with the revolver as I have been looking for a 5 inch barrel for a long time. He originally purchased it in a small pharmacy in the Praries. How times have changed. It is just an absolute delight to shoot. To me, just a nice as the Python I had and sold. A happy man I am.

Very nice, I also have an early 5" 27-2 with the trigger done by Murray, and agree that it is every bit as nice to shoot as my Python. Maybe nicer, I prefer the balance of a 5"...
