It's just IMHO, but between the bought and paid for by the Liberals, mainstream media, and the Liberal spin machine, a lot here are drinking the geopolitical Kool Aid.
Do some research on how much the proposed tariffs, from both sides, are really going to affect the economy.
There is a lot of politics being played here on both sides, with little or no concern for the plebes, and everything leads to keeping Carney in charge.
Canada needed a kick in the butt to pull its head out of the sand and build up everything from infrastructure to our military and police, etc.
All of which were created by both Liberal, Conservative, and NDP neglect, poor policies, or just plain heads up their butts, as well as putting their cronyism and party inbreeding before the good of the nation.
I don't like Trump, or a lot of what he's doing, but it only makes good sense for Canada to expand its options and play on them, so as not to fall for predatory outside influences.
The Liberals in Ontario, Quebec, and BC on the Federal level have chosen to politicise this fracas for their own benefit, and now the Provincial parties have climbed on board this unexpected gravy train. It's raking in a lot of donations, and ensuring wins on both levels.
I'm not saying this situation couldn't blow up into a disaster, both financially and politically, especially if it ensures strong, unbeatable Liberal/NDP governments across the nation, but there is a lot of potential to be had out of this situation, for the other parties if it's handled properly.
What's bothering me more than anything at this point is how slovenly and decrepit the opposition parties have become over the past ten years under Trudeau. They just can't pull it together, even when it's handed to them on a platter.
It's time for everyone to take off the blinders. This change in political strategies is coming about for a reason.
It's likely coming about for several reasons, but whether any of us like it or not, whining, sniveling, name calling, and making empty threats isn't going to make any more difference than a free-floating feather in a tornado.
If you can, prepare for the inevitable political/financial fallout, that is going to occur as this plays out.
For most, there is very little any of us can do but watch for the washouts and try to avoid them if we can.
Our politicians are running around playing the "don't blame me" game.'' They are very much to blame for what is happening at present.
It's their job to make sure such change is handled properly, and not put all their eggs into one basket. They all failed miserably. None of them are heroes, and they don't want you to see it for what it is.
Egotistical fools and pompous clowns, with little or no imagination, are running the show at most political levels in North America, and they are completely running blind at this point.
There's a very good chance some of it is orchestrated, but one certain thing is, several insiders are making outrageous profits out of this chaos.
