Poly Choke Question

Research further proves that M12's were infact offered with factory installed poly Choke. However Cutts was installed with a flange whereas Polys did not have this. Sooooooo... my bad.. )

To back up MADIS' note in his book my 1953 Stoeger Arms Shooters Bible lists Poly Choke, Cutts and Weaver Choke installations on special order by Winchester. For models 12, 25, 42,97 and 37. Cutts was $23.35 Poly Choke was $16.20 and Weaver was $14.80 . Extra tubes and "Deluxe" models fetched a little more. I would love a model 97 with a Winchester installed Cutts system. While I am dreaming overall barrel length would be 26".......

Books are good for sure. Talking to a guy that ordered one factory installed on his new model 12 back in the day and still has the gun is better IMO
No choke makings on his barrel like the cutts

M12 with a factory ordered poly is a very rare bird indeed...too bad the said shotgun is in such poor shape. Still, removing the choke would indeed be a poor move.
