Poor experience with Calgary shooting center

Calgary Shooting Center is an awesome place to shop, my wife and I were there two weeks ago. We bought some small items and looked around at most of the great inventory they have.

The staff were plenty, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful with any questions!......:)

Their indoor range is absolutely unreal with an array of firearms to try out. We would recommend them to any firearms enthusiast, beginner or advanced.

If you did not retry your luck on that sale price, you should. One will never know the outcome until you try. Definitely do not right them off as you originally had thought, the only person losing out will be you.

Tuck aside your pride and buy a new rifle from them, you will not be disappointed.........:)

Missing out on a lower price because the sale is over isn't poor service, period. Whining about it publicly hasn't been successful either, unless you were trying to make yourself look like an entitled arsehole. Two bad judgement calls by you.

Not sure what the point of comparing a national chain that sells largely self imported chinese made tools to a single store that carries tools brought in by importers that set the margins for them. Apples and pineapples.
Besides, the way the OG uses 'possible' in his post, he wasn't a guaranteed buyer even if they did honor the price. "Hey will you give me yesterday's price? Not saying I'm going to buy, just asking for now."

My point was that this store is not Princess Auto and you can't expect them to honour old sales, even if it was yesterday. The original post just sounds like someone who believes they are entitled.

I wonder how much the rifle was? Sure they make a good margin even on 10 % discount. But CSC has a huge inventory, so maybe they don't care. It is not a discount store, their strength is inventory, fairly low shipping rates (I like the low shipping rates on smaller items) and generally fast shipping.

I'm surprised you aren't in the business yourself if the profit margins are so good..?

Wow, after the OP slammed the store for their own foolishness and seeing the results... I plan to give some business to CSC. I'll be in Calgary later this month and I'll see what I can bring home to MB.

Csc has always been a good place for me. Relatively fast shipping and I love that they have sezzle. My only gripe is sometimes they don’t post some desirable items on the website and force you to call.

You can tell when someone is new to internet forums, and this one in particular, when they post something like this to call out a retailer oblivious to how the post is actually going to be recieved. Read the room before you start typing.

CSC has always treated me well, they are my local shop.

CSC is ok, they’re not perfect like any place. I tried to buy some rings for my CIL anshutz and the kid there wouldn’t even try to find something to fit.
Said “you need specialty anshutz rings for that.” I went to proline and got very well helped.
That’s not a reflection on the whole store though, it’s the poor service of one employee compared to the good service of another one.
I’ll still buy at CSC if they have what I need.
