Pops is turnin 60, new rifle present Model 70...wait made in Portugal???

My supergrade will not come off. Tried for an hour and quit so I didn't break the stock. The stock on my fwt is a real pain to get off as well. Takes about 30 min of wiggling
My supergrade is super tight as well, but i found if i remove the bolt and pull directly upward i can get it out, then i lightly wax (with renaissance wax) the recoil lug and it slides out easier as a result. Winchester has been doing a good job with their bedding and the stocks are pretty tight on there.

Ok holy crap!!! Thanks for that tip. Just tried and popped out like there was nothing at all.

Sorry, to clarify do you mean opening the bolt and sliding it rearward then pulling up using the leverage of the bolt in the action, or are you saying to completely remove the bolt as to detach it from the action?

i meant to completely remove the bolt from the action and then lift up on the action itself. I gently tapped with the palm of my hand on the wood, as well as remove the metal box lining the magazine well after removing the floor plate.
