Why?
I suppose someone could publish a rulebook snd say "okay everyone these are the rules governing multigun all across Canada"
So what..?
Unless I'm 100% in agreement I'm just gonna use my own rules.
As far as travelling to shoot other matches and having to adjust oneself re the rules....
If you can read it shouldn't be a problem.
If the rules are dumb then no clubs will bother using them and it won't become a national organization, simple as that. I'm a somewhat new 3gun competitor but from what I've seen there isn't and shouldn't be a ton of rules in 3gun, thats what makes it so interesting, the stage designs can vary a lot. I'm more talking about divisions and safety rules.
I don't think we'll ever see 3gun in Canada reach the scale it has in the US. From what I gleen reading posts about it on CGN there are about a dozen versions of what people consider as "3gun"... Lol.
Often within one thread it seems guys are talking about more than one style of match...
I've shot many matches in the US and each one often differs a little... From each other AND sometimes even from the year before.
A simple reading of the latest rules prior to the match is usually enough to get up to speed... It's no big deal.
WHAT! You have to read? Fawk it. It's too complicated, I'm not going.
667,
What is correct "3 gun"? And what makes the other versions incorrect?
Not trying to stir the pot, I ask because you've mentioned this before so the definition seems to be important to you.
I don't think I've ever expoused as to what "correct" 3 gun is...
There are several flavors, each with its own merit, or depending on one's perspective... faults.
What I've seen in past threads is where the term "3gun" is tossed around, but after a page or two it looked like we're all talking about different games... And yes... sometimes it does digress into a "my 3gun game is better than your 3gun game.
But hey... as long as we can agree that "IPSC 3gun" isn't correct... I'm good... ;-)
You did not read my post , once again it is what the barrel indicates . For example if it says 12 Ga 3.5 inch chamber you can run 7 plus 2 3/4 12 guage as per the bulletin on CFC website. We do not limit to 5 rds semi again if you can legally load more GO FOR IT.
There is a match at Barrie again on the July 11 date . Come up and see for yourself.
