Proud New Owner of My first SAN Rifle, what do I need to know?

i just picked a black spec last month and there was no bayonet lug with the rifle, and the factory target was not there!! is this a trend more money for less??

I never got a factory target, but I really would love to have mine, mind you I never expected it cause I bought the rifle second hand! If I bought it new I would be very un-happy to not get ALL of what originally came with it, especially the test target, that proves that this particular rifle can actually shoot

Does anyone know if you can get your factory test target from SWISS ARMS, if you write to them or call them and ask for it? Using your serial number as a reference of course.

Don't worry about the test target paper.
It would never left the factory without the quality control mad-swiss having approved it to be A-OK.

,,,and gunfactory has both the lug for the swiss or the NATO standard lug.

I've never weighed it but its alot heavier than the C7 I used to lug around.

The Swiss rifles are heavy in the first place, I just made mine heavier.lol

I know there heavy I have one, but mine is just a standard 550, with no rails, I have a top rail but don't use it so took it off to save weight. I like the irons.

That quad rail looks heavy, and the bi-pod, the rifle is 9lbs without any extras, I wouldn't be surprised if yours was pushing 13-14 lbs

Probably.

It has a Nills grip that is bigger than the OE grip. Made out of walnut and treated black. I like it very much.

Nightforce 2.5x10 scope mounted on a Burris PEPR mount. Works perfect for me and I got a good deal on the scope from another Gun Nutz.

Fore grips are B&T grips from Wolverine. Flip lever bi pod adaptor and Magpul Picatinny covers.

For a non restricted rifle it works for me and its the one rifle in my collection that will never go anywhere. I can make it OE in about a half hour, except for the bayo lug that I am sending to someone that hasn't got one.

I was surprised and pleased with the irons as you were. Nice thing about the PEPR is that you can still use them if you like.
