PRS Match CDTSA Milo Range

Sorry for the confusion on a couple of things. Practiscore has some limits as to what we can do. This is also a learning experience for me - maybe next time I will just ask if people are members or not.

What do you guys think we should try for payment? We could do EMT, cheque, cash at the door, etc.

Now who is going to step up to volunteer??

I just texted Jordan about this.

It may seem petty, but spots not paid prior to the event leads to a certain percentage of no-shows. While not necessarily an issue, it does cause problems. I can hint on some of those via PM. What it does do is also reduce projected proceeds, not that money generation is of massive concern, it is nice to maybe have an allowance for future builds/targets, etc.

I know it's additional work, but I would suggest payment prior to match. Non-refundable. The dollar amount isn't massive and secures income and hopefully spots for comp day.

Fack it. Problems would be those who did not register and missed out due to capped competitors. What happens when they find out that 10 people didn't show yet they couldn't attend the competition? It causes conflicts. Especially if the potential no-show's are not current members.

Just looking out for everybody here. Give the potential for something to happen and it will.

While this doesn't likely appeal to everybody, I'm sure people could understand why it's being done. The payment reserves your spot. With limited numbers people should be willing to accept this. There will be many more wishing they could compete.

If required, I could take care of this via EMT. I need monies to install a new barrel on my gun...

Yeah, pre- payment is easiest. Then no need to run to the bank and get cash in the perfect denominations etc for competitors. Then you also have a paper trail for your clubs proceeds and not just cash lump sums to worry about getting to the right hands. Easier for the folks running the match. Plus like Shibby states, no shows could kill a match.

Glad so many of you are so accommodating. Once the registration is full I will be sending an email out to everybody and I can include EMT details (Kevin is right - who hasn't used EMT on the EE). I have a planned course of fire already all ready to go and everybody can start training for it. If anyone has some really cool suggestions for future stages please let me know.

The PRS rules are up on the CDTSA website for your perusal.

This will be stated in the email but just so you guys know to that there will be no time to confirm dope on match day, for this match all engagements will be 100M-500M with 100M increments.

Im tempted to sign up and come just to have a fun day out with other CGNers, Im nervous to commit tho because may 7th I will likely be busy seeding or getting ready to do so. Ugh, $30 isnt bad if I can't make it but I don't want to take a spot and not use it and there be people wishing they could have made it.

Damn straight. If everything works out, like I said above about 75% sure.

There appears to be potential to remove yourself from registration. Obviously the night before is not a good time to do it.

Some other things to consider.

The distances Ryan mentioned are METERS, not YARDs. Know your dope prior to the event. As mentioned, testing is not available the day of.

On a safety aspect, some triggers may not be a good idea. PRS involves movement. Oz triggers require a lot of overlook. These might be worth bumping them up a bit for the match to prevent a ND or AD.

For those considering the long trek, this is an club level match. Don't be expecting the Gap Grind or the PRS Finale.

If everyone has fun and gets to try out a new style of shooting I will consider it a success even if it is lame in comparison.

+1 for this!

I've done a handful of precision rifle clinics and some Base borden competitions out to 1000m, but it will be nice to do a slightly more PRS style match, always looked at them with envy.

I'll enjoy it regardless of how I place... a bad day at the range is better than any day at work!
