PRS Match CDTSA Milo Range

It just takes a little more imagination and ingenuity to run things on a square range as there are no natural terrain features to take advantage of. You may need to build some props or transport a few things in to make it interesting. It can be done though.

One good thing about a square range is that you can do more stages because the stages are right next to each other, so you don't lose time with competitors moving between stages.

Hey, the match is still on August 6th and registration will be on practiscore again. Further details can be found on the CDTSA website.

I think this match will be more challenging than the last one.

Hey Ryan, just curious if you nailed down a date and registration for the match in August?

We'll work on this and let you guys know.

For information purposes, CDTSA members will have advanced registration this time around. It'll be posted here and on the webpage. Additionally, any current people entered into the PRS e-mail system will be notified by a mass e-mail.

Be aware CDTSA, at the moment, does not have every member's e-mail. Only those who have attended previous events (PRS only) will be notified. These will be the only members/shooters contacted through e-mail.

Check either this thread, or the webpage often if you have not attended the last PRS.

CDTSA would like to revise the membership sign-up / renewal to include e-mail addresses, however it's not something that has been implemented at this time. No date has been set for this to happen. Time, cost, and volunteer hour thing.

Ok,

I'm a bit behind the times. Update on the webpage already:

PRS UPDATE
CDTSA will be having its second PRS match of the year.

Due to overwhelming interest and limited spots available we will be do pre-registration for these matches.
In order to support our CDTSA membership, we will have 24 hours to register before it gets opened up to the public. During this registration phase please be sure to include your membership number.

This does not guarantee a spot as it could still get filled up within that 24 hour period by our own members.

Members registration will open on July 20th @ 12:00 am
Non-Member registration will open on July 21st @ 12:00 am

Registration can be done at https://practiscore.com/upcomingmatches?s=CDTSA

Rules can be round at http://www.cdtsa.ca/event-rules.html

Any additional questions can be sent to cdtsa3gun@gmail.com

Reminder that registration is this week! Refer to post above and CDTSA's webpage.

This match will involve less precision / freehand shooting, but a more physical aspect with additional movement to put the shooter under a different type of stress and or challenge.

COF will be blind this time around.

Heavy lifting will be required. Special circumstances can likely be entertained for some shooters.

This is not a prone / bench shoot. Be prepared for movement, positional shooting, barricade shooting, and time limits. Removeable magazines are highly recommended. Also recommended are known drops and wind calls for distances up to 500m in highly variable conditions.

Be prepared to shoot. Dress properly and be prepared for all weather. Bring food and water to the event. There will be no food or water available at the range. Temps can be +8 to + 35, and likely moderate to heavy cross winds.

There will be no opportuntity to check zero or drops the day of the shoot.

*POKE*

Its the 20th today

Next season I might drop service rifle and pick up PRS.
You guys are going to have a lot of fun!

IMHO this type of match is the pinnacle of PRACTICAL precision shooting. Hell, hunters should be all over this......

Sounds like a good plan.. =)

Minimum round count will be ironed out soon. Some stages are still under review and testing (today). Then the COF and round count will be approved/finalised with CDTSA. After this we can detail minimum rounds required.
