I still don't understand why the MIM bolts are not being pulled off the shelf. Isn't there a regulatory body that can order it as a safety issue?
don't think a taxpayer funded civil servant will help gun owners.

Is that like Honeymoon Suite?![]()
This thread is kind of moot now, isn't it? I mean, there's some long-term reputational issues here for a few of the players, but the M305 is now prohib.
Sad. It was the first gun I ever bought after getting my PAL.
Nothing's over until it's over. We've beaten them before, we can do it again.
Other than the registry and the off again, on again, off again, on again CZ858 - how have we exactly beaten them?
Not trying to be an A$$ - just trying to figure out if I slept through a couple of decades

Not so.
The blues ones ended in 2004 or 2005. Marstar brought good ones in for another 5 years after that, they were parkerized and many were marked for US imports that were cancelled in 1994. They stopped offering decent guns in 2010 or 2011, and after that things went downhill rapidly.
Decent receivers were still used until about 2014 on some guns.
Now everything is sh!t.
So how does one tell if he has a sh!t. receiver? I know mine has a MIM bolt, and I would buy the Israeli parts kit(if I still can), but if the receiver is no good, there's no point throwing good money after bad! My serial # begins 2013****-13-356 CN 13 CA . Dunno if this is a serial, or import coding numbers. Would hate to turn a brand new rifle into a paperweight!

I have a 2013 marked receiver as well. It's forged. How do you know your bolt is MIM?
As well, do understand that M14 parts are not always "drop-in". They often need fitting by someone experienced with them
