Thought you might like some pics of my 10/22 project rifle.

The rail covers come with the rail kit. The quality of the rails is top notch. Very well machined and finished. Solid and fit the 10/22 like a glove.

Very comfy fit and the dot is the perfect height. Look forward to having some 'tacticool' fun.

Jerry

Looks very nice Jerry. Where did you get the rails and how much? (If you don't mind my asking)

Hahaha. That's going to be my 10/22 almost exactly, except I'm passing on the front grip for now...and I'm only rocking a tasco red dot.

As for the barrel, that's interesting. I personally am I just going to try and track down an 11.5" from the states.

I don't mind the looks of the T-6. I refuse to drop $400.00+ on the Evolution or the other one coming out (by the time you add all the extras on). It appears to be a functional platform which is what I'm looking for. A laser and a flashlight and it would be fun for coyotes in cattle pens at night.

cummon, we all need 1000$ rugers like me... lol

The rails are by Leapers under the UTG label. found it off ebay. VERY WELL made.

I looked at the Christie, and Evolution stocks but picked up the Tapco due to price and the closer resemblance to the M4. The forend is also smaller allowing for an easier time fitting the quad rail to it.

I wanted the quad rail look.

It is a well portioned stock with a good fit to the action. Still needs bedding but will get to that once the barrel returns.

The goal was to build a 'black' rifle without spending a fortune ie AR15. This route is certainly the least expensive I have found and looks the best in my opinion.

Yes, they are alum. Haven't met a rail system that wasn't. That price is about right. Dirt cheap for the quality product you get. Rock solid once it is all fitted tightly around the forend.

They also come with rail covers which saves fingers and wear.

Jerry

What barrel are you getting? How short are you going to go? What style FH? I sak because I am seriously considering this type of build, but I am unsure on the barrel as I don't want it too long.

Thanks,
Adam

Could we get a picture with the rail covers on? I'm curious as to how it would look.

bleh. I think the Krinker kits are a big cosmetic improvement. There's just something too sporty about the profile of the 10/22 receiver. It ruins the look and the T-6 doesn't hide it.

Adam, Got an aftermarket barrel which we are turning, chopping then putting on a standard AR FH from DPMS. Will stick out like the HK, LMT, etc CQB stubbies.

Nice part about this rail is heavy barrel will fit under it. It comes with a spacer so you can mount either pipe. The T6 is sized for the orig so will need to be opened up to fit a HB.

I am going to let the barrel free float and bed at the receiver for support.

Will see what I can do about pics with covers on.

Based on the amount of Krinker kits sold, you are probably in the minority.
