Whatever man. Armorer or not, you are not right as I was not dreaming when my guns sporradically bust fired with a disconnector tail and went semi when the tail was removed.
This is not my first rodeo, mate.
As someone who has a lot of smithing experience with both AR15's and the C7 platform and has actually fitted and used a DIAS in the states, I have to call BS.
This is like arguing with my wife
I am Specifically talking about a tailed disconnect or and f/a selector but no auto sear.
Re-read your post and ask yourself who is being rude and condescending? Mod or not: you are the rude one.
And I find your assesent of my experience downright insulting. You consider me to be lying there fore I am wrong, inexperienced or whatever. Fine. Others know better but I am done with this thread and am going to rethink my overall participation level on cgn if this is how mods are encouraged to interact with the community - levelling insults and accusations.
I have yet to make any insults or accusations. My posts speak for themselves. Feel free to use the post report button.
You may want to review the firearms act. Installing a full auto disconnect and an automatic selector will absolutely cause the firearm to fire a burst.
Making automatic firearm
102. (1) Every person commits an offence who, without lawful excuse, alters a firearm so that it is capable of, or manufactures or assembles any firearm that is capable of, discharging projectiles in rapid succession during one pressure of the trigger.
If you have done this it is illegal. There is no reason to install those parts into a restricted AR15 in Canada.
I love how we all have different views of easy. Unfortunately it also makes interpretation of the law by those in charge quite iffy.
