so looking for a new range bag and all my saved links are gone. Found the 511 bag, and the shootersconnection bag (same thing maybe?). what else is there out there?

I had a Green Mountain...pretty good...

I now have a Shooters Connection.

I like the Shooters Connection a bit more (but either would be a good choice)

Ken's Bags are also good...never owned one but they look like they's last forever.

This one is on my radar from One Shot..

I use the i-Shot MOD bag and I'm extremely happy with it. I generally carry 3 guns and have no issues. I just talked to them this morning and they are back ordered 8 weeks or so, so they have currently taken them off their website.

They re-directed me to one of their resellers who has the bag in stock, incase you want to look into it - MLE Shooting Sports

Helmie is a great guy to deal with.

Cheers,
Henry

I have been using the 5.11 bag for well over a year, closer to 2 years= no problems. It is very close in design to the shooters connection bag. i regularly put 500rds in it, with my spare gear/holster and cleaning gear, stapler, patching gun, mags, timer, patches, etc...etc..
No problems. I have an Uncle Mikes duty bag that has a torn zipper, it used to be my range bag, but it could not take the weight.
Tetragon sells the 5.11 bags

I've been beating the crap out of my shooters connection bag for the last 5+ years and its still in great shape aside from the faded colours and blood stains.

As you know I have the Shooters Connection Bag. It is extremely well made with all metal clasps and zippers. The 511 bag is a knock off, less expensive by about $30. but from talking to a fellow stateside who has one is not as well made. The Shooters Connection Bag was designed in the States by Chuck Bradley and is made in India. IF you order from the States you will pay duty on it, as I found out, because it is not made in N.A. and does not fall under NAFTA.

IMHO it is the best bag out there and will last you your lifetime. I carries all you will ever need to carry to the range and then some. You can make do with less but you shoot a lot and travel with your guns. Buy it and you will never regret the additional expense.

Buy it in green and it will match your press.

Incidently Rock River Arms peddles a copy as well made in Viet Nam.

I have blue press now too Bob! what to do what to do!!!?????
I know Helmie a great, but the bag just doesn't look big enough for me. I am now carrying at least 4 guns in my bag, which looks the same as
baglarge.jpg

so I need a bigger bag with more storage. I'd like them make a bag with attachments you can take on or off, like the water bottle bag?? I don't need it, I'd rather put something else there.
But since no one does this, I guess I'll probably get the Shooters Connection one. I've looked at Kens bags every year at the Nationals, and while they are nice, they just lack features I want, and are not as esthetically pleasing as others out there. He's a great guy, but his gear just doesn't fit my needs.

Ah I knew you would come over to the dark side eventually. ie the press.

Thankfully, Shooter's Connection also comes in Blue as well. You won't be disappointed Rob. I have carried as many as five guns in mine, well you saw the load I had with me last time we shot together. The inner bag is very handy as a stage bag. I use it when I shoot over in Pr. Rupert with the boys.

I don't honestly believe there is a better bag out there but it does cost.

carry 3 guns easy, lot's of pockets and it even comes with a seperate
bullet bag with pockets. Wolf got it for my Dad and I think he said they
even custom make. Check them out, Hope Dad can get us to the Nat's
this year.
