Rare Rugers

No, it came with the standard African stock. It looks like this one pictured... if you like it, I can PM the handle of the new owner (he lives on your end of the country)... maybe he will let it go? Ruger will not build anything over .35 cal with the International barrel profile (per Lipsey's).

I have small preference for the ;) odd full stock item, however, in European calibres only. Just thought I'd ask, just in case one was available in 9.3x62 from Ruger and wanted to make sure I didn't miss the one in question if it was. :) Thanks Greg.

My one and only Ruger is 1968 Vintage M77 tang safety dog leg flat bolt non iron sights in .284 Win bought it brand new in 1974 from Custom Gun shop in Edmonton .

Only Rugers at the moment are a 1976 10/22 deluxe with the bicentennial markings (think they all did that year) and a 5 1/2" Redhawk in .357. Neither are all that common but they didn't make a whole lot of the .357 redhawks back in the day. Wish they would make a 4.2 barreled version of the new 8 shot .357 redhawk.

I have a blued RSI 77 in 250-3000.
I dont think its particularly rare, maybe uncommon.

My father has the same rifle in 22-250.

I know it ain’t rare but my first full stocked rifle and it’s been a good luck charm in the bush!

I want my M-77 MK II stainless in .270 WSM back. Anyone have one they wish to part with? A shameless plug for sure...

Too bad mine is a lowly ought six. Served me very well, just doesn’t see the light of day much anymore....

Dirk

That's the rifle. Well, except for that 'lowly' calibre. Nothing lowly about the '06, Dirk. :)

I have a 77 tang safety 270 that I purchased new from Jack's Gun Rack around 1972 and a 1982 (?) 77R in 7x57 that I purchased this spring. If I could buy a Ruger in 250 Savage or 260 Rem that would strike another item(s) off of my rifle bucket list.

Cabelas in south Edmonton had a used 77R in 7x57 with a muzzle break last spring. It was decent shape but well used and over priced imho.

I have a #1B in first year production (66-7) .222 Rem, my understanding this caliber was discontinued the following year. I have only seen one other 222 Model A that was 3 serial numbers apart.

I have owned three of the Carpenter's Technologies M77 MKII walnut/stainless .222 Rem rifles... they were all beautiful pieces and very accurate... at the moment, I can't remember why I sold them??? At 2440 pieces, they are not exactly rare, but unique none the less... the chambering makes them more attractive.

Pre prefix 222 are rare.

I have a recent 1A in 222 with Cisarrian Walnut with the same checkering pattern as the Boddington series of #1. Likely wood left from that production run.

I have a No.1 in 264 win mag. I don't know if it's rare but it's the only one I ever saw.

Prophet River had one a few years ago. Maybe you beat me to it?
My regrets for selling are my 96/44 and a No1V in 300win mag.

Still have my M77V and No1B's in 6mm, 338, 30-06, 280
