RCMP and converted autos

The funny part is: it is probably easier to convert some of the commercial models of certain guns to FA, than it is to convert the 12.3 CA guns back to FA.

But of course again, the 12.X guns are being advertised politically as the "machine guns" and therefore easy by everyone to "give up".

Gee, ya don't say .... "classification" really = delayed confiscation? Who'dathunk it ..... ?

I've been telling people for years that the whole "classification" scheme is just a red herring, smoke & mirrors cover up for delayed confiscation. Anyone who supports "classification" of any kind is a government shill, working against the best interests of Canadian gun owners.

How many people do you know that are kicking their butts for not making the cut off for 12(6) prohib and all the other classifications? They created classes of gunowners, knowing that eventually the "grandfathered" types will die off and their guns revert to the Crown.

All true, and the other reason they did it this way is so they wouldn't have to pay a red cent for any of them. It will take a little longer but in the end they get all the guns they wanted to confiscate for free.

well the 1919A6 has gone to get nurtured sent up to collectors source ..well they came and got it really ..Ill decide what to do with the rest..... Fred said that they are turning down guns that they would have grabbed a year ago everybodys dumping them ...nobody thinks harper will get a majority and they are afraid of what justeen will do if he wins ...

If it went to Collectors Source you can guarantee it will have a stupid inflated price tag.

In December 1992 I received this REPORT OF THE CENTER OF FORENSIC SCIENCES ---both guns were sent to the lab for testing.
Everything came back O.K. and it did not take too long before I got the two guns back.

NOTE;

I am selling the 12(3) MP40 referred to on the document above and have requested the transfer to the new owner. So far the RCMP has not requested that it be sent to Ottawa for inspection.

I see Finn Neilson signed off on those two guns above ..great guy always saw him at the ancaster show ...a walking google when it came to firearms ...we lost a good one when he passed ..he used to get in trouble for not towing the RCMP bs ..he quit and went down south to work but the RCMP wanted him back so he came back but this time he was left alone

You have to realize that there are/were some smart ones in government. They decided to go at gun owners the same way you might eat a big cookie - nibble away at the edges. In this case, the edges are owners of full autos, then converted autos, then .25/32/short barreled handguns, etc. I would bet the next nibbles (whenever they come) will be any military semi autos, then sporting semi autos, then bolt action centre fires, then repeating shotguns. When all is said and done, the last piece of cookie will be owners of single shot .22 rifles and shotguns. The guys at the centre of the cookie don't make much fuss when the guys at the edge are getting bitten off.

It sucks to be a cookie.

You are absolutely correct in everything you write, the thing is Wendy wants to jam the whole cookie down her throat all at once but constant nibbling achieves the same end result at our collective cost.
