RDB now that the X95 is near impossible to find?

A few on another site with decent prices for unfired guns

I've been watching listings and sales for a while now. X95's get listed rarely and they sell pretty quickly. Prices are not stupid, but they were certainly lower a year ago.

I have access to the X95 importer's website and they managed to get hold of 46 rifles last week. All 46 rifles have been purchased by retailers and should hit the market in the next week or so. They were mostly FDE, with a handful of BLK ones.

Anyone who is considering an X95 should buy one as soon as they find one available.

i dont know anything about RBD so i cant say but X95 is far from advance design. i dont like the rubber extractor spring nor the gas system. i changed out the charging handle. love the hidden rails. the amount of screws doesnt bother me. the replacement gas tube is no way near $20, its $55 if you find one at all.

My AR10 has the same type of extractor “spring”…as well as many other rifles, most people just never need to fully strip their bolt to see it. Rarely will you have an issue, even online they are rare to hear about.

They do not have more screws then anything else…3 of are for the top rail/handguard and one more for the pistol grip…very normal!

regardless, i still dont like rubber extractor spring, lol.

Marstar and IRUNGUNS are advertising they have them but don’t know if they are still in stock. Irun has two different barrel lengths as well.

If that's the case, they sold out in a couple of hours...

Something weird here. I looked at the wholesaler's website and they had 38 FDE and only 6 Blk so I don't see how it is possible for a store to end up w so many in BLK.

Looks like they updated inventory, mostly FDE, I think a few black. Black is all sold out, FDE left

This makes more sense.

Honestly the price is better than I had expected. I think they could easily have charged more and still sold everything very quickly.

Apparently not all retailers got their x95 yet, so maybe the number you saw distributor website was the left over after they filled the back orders.

Now that the X95 have all disappeared and are near impossible to find, do I take a chance on an RDB?

Based upon my last RDB experience, I'd only buy one new from a dealer so as to be able to have a warranty to fall back on.

In general I liked my RDB but it has soured me a bit with the trigger problem that has it sitting at a Smith for the last 6 months. :( When that rifle finally returns it will get sold.

Multiple retailers currently have stock for all colors now, why not just get an X95, lot better quality, aftermarket support, and the company doesn't have a reputation of guns blowing up:p

Good joke about blowing up. There was at least one X95 that blew up a year ago in Canada, in BC because of OOBD and how many RDBs, eh? Quality of components and manufacturing doesn't not always translates to quality of design and to safety.

They are just coming from the States now. The X95 is also not the preferred rifle for the IDF, so I never expected them to be "rare". The US issued an export stop for US produced AR to Israel but I don't expect this to last forever, maybe it is already revoked.

It is not that desirable in my opinion, it is a bullpup. A T97 shoots better and is more reliable. Please don't say "safety". One reason that there is not much hype around the T97 is the fact that they are not available in the US.

I would not buy a Kel-Tec, also keep in mind that their warranty is shaky at best.

I am not overly familiar with the X95 bolt and firing pin relationship but I would be SHOCKED if the Israeli army adopted a rifle that did not occlude the firing pin prior to full bolt lockup. I cannot imagine that any modern rifle would be designed in a way that would allow the firing pin to protrude before the bolt carrier was fully home.

The vast majority of people who claim OOB have no clue what OOB actually means and how these rifles work. I am sceptical any time someone claims an OOB.

The CDN X95 have to be specially made for us because of the barrel length requirements here. X95 for the US market have 16" barrels.

Have you watched any of the combat footage out of Gaza? There are loads of X95 in those videos.

A T97 is a non-starter for me as I am a lefty. Also not a fan of commie rifles. They are typically not overall good quality .... I've owned a few in the past.

The X95 firing pin cannot contact the primer until the bolt has been rotated into battery, much like an AR15. The X95 has an anti-rotation device to prevent the bolt rotating early and a firing pin spring to prevent the firing pin from striking the primer under inertia before the trigger is pulled once in battery. They have every safety feature you would expect from a modern rifle.

Which means an OOB is virtually impossible.
