Weren't Red Dot optical devices designed for better sight picture and fast target acquisition rather than accuracy?
I don't use one and never did so i might be wrong ,but wouldn't magnified scope be a right tool to use here?
Nice - good stuff because I ended up buying a bushnell trs-25
hoping it can shoot minute-of-head shot at anything under 100m off hand
Looking into buying a Red Dot, Vortex Strikefire. This is great stuff to read, thanks.
To mount on what sort of rifle?
Get a riser for your RD, or buy a Comp M4/Eotech 553 (if you can find one.)
The CQB (last I checked) were $3,500, spend a grand on the optic - the rifle deserves it.
55gr winchester whitebox .223 - cheapest stuff I could find - 5 shots at 20-25 yards
never really shot for accuracy before but I can say I am very pleased with this. same settings at 50 yards grouped 1.5" higher
