Reducing recoil on a AR

I see you post a lot any of it actually helpful??? I see your really sensitive too all those post back to back like that... A 22 feels like a 22 a 223 feels like a 223 like I said if you don't get it I cant explain it any better than it already has been...
Stupid question... How many rounds downrange do you have with your rifle...?
Your right it is a stupid question...

Man-up and do some pushups.
or get a 10/22

Maning up and doing push up will not make you defy physics.

This thread is truly mind boggling! This is not about who it is being the He-Man or whiner about recoil - it is about pumping rounds into target at highspeed accurately - technique and equipment. Like 6 rounds in 1.5 sec, instead of 2 rounds in 6 seconds!

Recoil is a wrong word - it is about managing muzzle rise.

Holding the magwell (sigh).

Holding further out the end of the rifle/carbine will give you more ability (leverage) on the gun, than holding in to the magwell does.
It both allows you to aim the gun at the target ("drive the gun" bothers me as a term for this, but you get the idea) faster, and control the muzzle much more effectively for follow up shots.

A lot of people who monopod the rifle for service rifle hold the mag well, which is fine for slow fire prone shooting. However the mistake is made that this translates to a good idea for rapid fire active shooting.

You POI shift on a non FF foreend in the standing will not be that much, as your pulling the gun back into you dont down to the dirt.

Those who don't think the AR has recoil -- try to engage multiple targets using one and not using one...

Another thing for those who don't think the AR has recoil: Try snugging up your butt stock on the tip of your nose and take one shot. Be sure to have your friend video it for You-Tube. You will be famous, but for all the wrong reasons.

Btw, Good shooting tip there Kevin.

Those are some of the bad habits we constantly have to break when we get our new trainees from CFLRS.

To the op...I wish we could modify our weapons with a brake.
