I too have a Whelen in the 700 Classic as well as a 358 Win in an old first generation Mod 7 and then the 2 350s in Mod 7s..........sure would like to have a 700 Classic in 350 to go with my other 8 700 Classics and my 2 other 350s.......did I mention this before? Oh and I almost forgot my Mod 95 in 35 Win.......just another 35 cal.......Just thought I'd mention it cause we're throwing around all this 35 cal love............
What are the plans for it?..... as I recall you brought the coveted .358 win?
I have factory stainless banded front sight, barrel band swivel and scalloped rear sight being installed and then it is being bedded into a lighter, stiffer stock.
The M77 RS Carbine 358 Win is a sweet little rifle.

3rd edition Hornady Handbook lists maximum 52.6 gr IMR4320 and their 250gr bullet at 2400 fps (22.5" 1:16 twist). By extrapolation, 2750 fps MV would require (2 gr / 100 fps) x (2750 - 2400) = 7 grains more, or about 60 gr behind a 250 gr bullet. That's 15% more powder.
Hot load or what??!![]()

You can't talk about the 350 RM without one of the original model 600's, the only drawback is the short magazine. I used a model 7 stock on this one as the original stock was broken.

...not a hot load IN MY RIFLE...The rifle has a long throat and the bullet is seated out a long ways...Mine is however on the famous Remington Model 700 action...contains 100,000 psi events like they are mouse farts...
Speer #8 shows 59 grns of IMR 4320 for 2543 fps (must be a slow barrel)..........so it all depends on which manual you choose to look at.
