Remington 700 Mountain Rifle scope choices

Thanks Rob, the versatility of the 3-9 sounds good too! And I like how light the Leupolds are.

I'll get some pictures for sure, its going to have to live with an old beater Burris FF II 3-9x40 for a while though :p

I have one of those Burris scopes on my 280, a Rem 725. It worked so well, I just left it on there. - dan

I got a browning A-bolt micro series 284win with a leupold 2-7x33. Its a great setup for hunting blacktails in the timber here on VI. I can easily reach out to 300 yards if needed. I usually leave it on 7 power.

Those are definitely nice and light, and a good scope! I like them too, or the Burris FF-II version.

SuperCub, thats a great rifle for sure :)

This is a 3.5-10x40 VX3 on my tikka 280rem. Absolutely perferct for my WT stand out to sheep ranges! Try it! You will love it!

VERY nice! Dig the look of it on that rifle. And the stainless fluted barrel and the stainless shroud with that black stock.

Is that what it is? Sounds like it shoots as good as it looks. Heck of a setup!

What height Talleys are those on it?

Jim thanks for your feedback on it. You too Buckmastr.

[/QUOTE]I use an S&B fixed 6x42 on my “mountain rifle” but it’s a heavier model I wouldn’t really suggest for this gun. Great scope and fits the “theme” though. In time I may replace it with something lighter. Also carried it around this and last year but never connected with anything. DGY you might like it; the 1 inch models are lighter

Tell me more….
