Remington Model 700 Sticky

Only six rifles?

Seven CF rifles total. There's another FN-98. I've owned hundreds of rifles in my life but was never a collector. Just buy a few, try them out and sell a few.

Post retirement I started downsizing. I don't need 10 deer rifles and 3 moose rifles along with sundry varmint and target guns. I'm ok with just a few good ones.

Been searching for a while now for a .280Rem Mtn. Seems everyone has gone the AI route and the original .280 has become as scarce as hens teeth..

At this point I’d take a ADL/BDL/CDL in .280Rem if one pops up

No one "needs" that many deer or moose rifles. One could get away with a 22lr, a gun for all big game and varmints if you reload, and a shotgun.

But it's easier to tell the old lady that I need them, not want them...

My current two rems 700. Be adding two more once home from holidays

300wsm, bell carlson stock. Loves anything 200 gr.. and oddly will shoot a 165 TBT just as well. Anything else is out to lunch

Other 7mm08 mountain SS. So far loves 140gr TBT

I have new scopes for both. Just havent had time to swap them out

Ill be reloading for both or at least learning. As i just put my reloading bench and rifle maintenace bench together

You're right, it's not about need. For me it's about want. I no longer want a large selection of CF rifles. I'm shooting rimfire and skeet more these days so have purchased more in those directions.

Fully understandable. Most of my rifles aren't crazy expensive, most are quite unique, or in cartridges that basically need to be handloaded, and aren't that easily replaced. So I just think it would be nice to be able to pass them on to my kids, and to their kids eventually. So I tend to not get rid of any. Just gotta get my son into the handloading aspect of it more. He really likes the shooting end of it.
