Remington Special Run?

i know this is a bit of a old thread now , but ,

6.5x55 or 6.5x55ai in a titanium action with a carbon fiber wraped barrel and a 10 round removable magazine

could also be a 260 / 260 ai or 6.5 wsm and 6.5x284

or even a 6.5 tcu

A stainless 700 short action .308 with a medium-heavy contour (say .750 at the muzzle), 22" 5R barrel,

Stock would be a McMillan olive hybrid: like an Anschutz BR (not thumbhole) crossed with a sporter stock:
  • Sporter forend or slight beavertail - maybe squared off like a Weatherby, streamlined.
  • high comb exclusively for cheek weld with 40mm objective scopes.
  • a steeper grip angle for comfort prone or standing postion.
  • not clunky like the BR-50
  • that nice hollowed-out part for the heel of the hand.
  • high hump, but no monte-carlo.
  • swivel stud ahead of the action for a ching sling.
  • no adjustable wheels, gears, levers or other nonsense. Leave this as a stable one-piece.
  • Remington cushy recoil pad.

7 to 7.25 pound target weight. I'd accept a checkered pepper laminate stock if the target weight was achieved without scrimping on barrel profile.

Go halfway between the Model 7 and the 700 5R. Make the stock handy like a sporter, with target ergonomics.

There's been a lot of interest here concerning a potential special run of Ruger #1 rifles in 303 British.
So, I thoght I'd throw this out there:
I was at a trade show a few days ago and was told by the Remington reps that they would do a run of as few as 50 rifles.
Now, here's a can of worms? Anybody have any ideas?

.303 british in a rem model 700 with a LSS stock, matte blued metal with a fluted barrel, and "Injun Moose Git'r .303british Edition" engraved on the floorplate with a small canadian flag:D

How about a run of left handed CDL's in other than the normal 270, 06. I would like a 25-06 or 35 whelan or 9.3x62.
