Resizing, rim / weight sorting

After measuring .033 no pressure and .034 with significant hand pressure, I think, I found what I was missing. The plug used to get the reference measurement needs to be diameter of the rim diameter and centered. Mine was over and could've picked up on some high spots. There is no frigging way that my headspace would be so much under the spec. Oh well, some more machining to be done tomorrow...
Today I repeated measurement using proper plug. 0.0425 Given possible error of 0.0005, I'm confident that my headspace is at the very minimum allowed by SAAMI / CIP specifications.
Now,I have a question to all experts here. Why Eley specifies recommend headspace as .040 to
041? Not only they suggest it to be below what SAAMI / CIP allows but also give it such small tolerance. Do they know something you don't or are they a bunch of inexperienced amateurs? Or, just maybe they are trying to show a way to squeeze every last bit of accuracy and reliability out of their ammo.

I've seen some a couple of videos and some post by gunsmiths that specialize in rimfires that bullet engraving is a more important detail than headspace. So basically how deep the bullet jams into the lands. I also understand that this is somewhat ammo brand specific as well.

Because their rims are thin enough that using less headspace would mean less slop.
C'mon Shorty, don't spoil the fun. You never denied possible correlation so my question wasn't aimed at you. You just questioned whether this days, using good ammo, sorting makes sense. That's not the same as flatly saying that matching rim thickness to headspace has no impact on accuracy.
