Boycott

TI I personally hope you do not attend. The less liberals who see your wears the better for me. I would like to buy one off you before they become restricted or worse.

Don't they realize that a gun that does not look like a hunting gun is the perfect hunting gun?
The animals would never suspect it.

Wow...what a bunch of tards! I'm sure, positive, that is, that anyone who owns hunting shotguns and rifles can appreciate the "cooler" looking restricted firearms that dealers/distributors/manufacturers have to offer...some of the best restricted firearms are made from the same manufacturers of non-restricted hunting arms. Maybe that's why I haven't attended the Sportsman's show the last few years...

yup!
i wish we could use the Remington R25 in Canada for hunting.. oh wait its mossy oak camouflage, doesnt that make it non-restricted ?? :)

Strong worded, yes but anti-gun gun owners are worse than the anti's. They disgust me.

Got that right. I've had it with these primitive attitudes towards modern day sporting rifles.

Fudds need to STFU.

That does it. Any gun I purchase in the future will either have plastic or polymer stocks. You guys did it. It really makes no difference, but because of your stooopid superstitious beliefs that "bad, scary looking guns" should be banned makes me want to buy nothing but.

This whole thread has made a very interesting read. I for one will boycott this Unsportman Show. If the only reason they changed their mind was due to pressure then they are still a bunch of hypocrites destined to give the same response to another dealer who lacks the support. People like this never change unless it tends to be seen to hit them in the wallet. I'm happy T.I. gets the space and I will wait to read what results he has with the attitudes and pleasantries of the people organizing the show and the CFO.
Best of luck T.I. show them what you came for.

My question is this... Who would attend a Sportsman Show, knowing there will obviously be TONS of firearms there, and be offended by a "non hunting" looking rifle?!?!?!!?!?

SERIOUSLY? Is someone really going to walk into that show and scream in horror because there are modern looking rifles there??

Didn't Toronto, the centre of its own universe, send mostly NDP reps to Ottawa? Ya gets what ya gets!

GTA used to be all red.

The red is gone and now it's orange and blue but mostly blue.

I live in the T-Dot and my riding is blue.

Have you seen our mayor?

He's a right wing conservative business man. Unlike the socialist mayor of Calgary.

I am from Alberta and have to agree. The mayors that have been elected to run our major cities are opportunistic pigs. With mayors like Mandel and Nenshi pushing their agenda around I think the same kind of b.s. could happen out here too. I doubt this is a Toronto-only attitude of show organizers.

OK, so it sounds like the consensus is that tactical imports heard back from the show rep and they reversed their decision, likely because he returned to the office one morning to find hundreds of emails indicating their dissaproval of the initial decision and stressing their desire to no longer provide their support, is that correct? If so, excellent :)

People have to stop being Lemmings(fear mongers) and learn about something themselves instead of listening to rumors from friends and stories that are based on someones 15 minutes of fame. I wish for once people would find knowledge by assessing it first hand to make their opinions and use common sense to come to their own conclusions about something. It could be guns, motorcycles, cars that go too fast. Its the lack of going all the way to find out the truth about something that prevents us from having freedom in this country. I live here too and I have interests in things that maybe other people do not. I like to go by, "If Im not bugging you, leave me alone and let me do my thing and pay attention to your own life because mine is none of your business." I thought we fought in wars to have our freedom of our way of life. I also thought we fought against Communism because we wanted the right to choose. Have people forgot why we did all those things? It kills me that there is people like the Event Manager doesnt want to look bad because he figures that some people will be offended by the people who are willing to jump through hoops for safety and follow the law to a "T". I hate stupid people! Sorry for ranting.
On the brighter side today, I took an antigun person to the range and changed her mind. I wish we could educate all the misinformed. You can lead a horse to water...........but you cant teach them if they dont wanna learn.

I'm very impressed and somewhat in awe. I just joined this forum after re kindling my firearm interests after 20 years. I cannot take any credit (although i did send an email with a few snide remarks hehe) for what has occurred here. I have to say that anyone that emailed with regard to this issue should be proud of what was accomplished. The emails that i saw were blunt yes, full of emotion yes but for the most part were fairly tactful and non abusive and done in good taste. The kind of power that a group of tax paying citizens can muster cannot be undermined when done in the right tone and that's exactly what you have done. I'm proud to be a member of this community and I'm brand new.

Good on ya to all the old timers on here who've been fighting the fight for everyone. I thank You.

Sometimes I wonder if our society has become so anti gun because there is a disconnect between what our forefathers had to fight to make sure we didn't end up speaking German or Japanese. If we had more wars on our own soil in recent times, then guns, especially the non-hunting versions, will be still part of our heritage. I guess being too comfortable has created a new generation of people living in la la land....
