RF224 11.7” Review?

Hello all, I watched the review above on this little beauty. Poster said he didn't group it and referred to it as a plinker. Can anyone comment on accuracy/ groups/ ammo preferences? Not looking for CZ accuracy but want to be able to bounce around the golf balls! Will likely mount a red dot. I'm used to my GSG 15...may it RIP.

Not test, but I saw/handled one yesterday for the first time. Had a little retail therapy not happened the week before, there is a good chance I'd have walked out with the thing. Loved the balance (chunky, short rifle=weight is close to your body) and the irons were pretty decent. No GSG or Derya 22 ever gave me a tingle....but here I was talking myself out of this thing. lol
It all sounds very appealing but gotta get the gin on accuracy first. (I'm a little leery in the 12 inch barrel.) I've been building up my 22 LR ammo inventory for this moment!
I have been shooting my RF224 for a few weeks now. I have eyesight issues but initially shot it with the flip-up sights with bullseye accuracy at 20 yards (my range is indoors). I now have a 4x scope on it with illuminated sights and at 20 yards I can hit the 10X ring no problem. No chance to check it at longer ranges yet. My only complaint, and it's a minor one, is the bolt is heavy and like Ruger 10/22s, no hold-open after last shot. As a result, CCI Mini-Mags or Federal Champions or better are all that it will cycle reliably. It accepts every 10/22 magazine, original and Butler brands, with no issues. I did add a compensator to it, so that may or may not be helping with the accuracy.

Two other minor issues...there literally is no way to hold open the bolt, so I keep a chamber flag handy. There are two ways to get the magazine to properly seat and not fall out or damage the rifle...the magazine release moves forward to release, so move it slightly forward to seat a magazine. Alternatively, find the slight angle to insert the magazine (not straight in) and it will seat just fine. DON'T force it straight in. Over time a gunsmith friend said this would be less of a problem as parts wear.

I bought the Adler RF-22 last week and fired it yesterday. Bear in mind that my opinion so far is based on very limited use but so far I am not impressed. The very first round jammed when I tried to chamber it. After that the 10 rounds (Mini-Mags) did shoot reliably and seemed to be pretty accurate even though I was shooting unsupported. The first round in the next mag also semi-jammed but again the 10 Mini-Mags functioned without a hitch. I then tried shooting some Federal bulk pack from a Butler Creek pinned 25 round mag but could not get any round to chamber although I'm laying the blame for that on the mag, not the gun as the rounds didn't seem to come up high enough for the bolt to strip them from the mag.
However, when I tried to manually cycle some rounds through the gun from the original mags I noticed that the chambered rounds would extract about half way out of the chamber and then drop off the extractor on to the top of the mag causing a jam. I took the gun home, removed the bolt and inserted a round into the cutout on the bolt face . The extractor seems to exert enough tension to hold the rim but the problem is that th3e bolt face cutout is too big and allows the case head to move away from under the extractor claw which would explain why the rounds fall off the extractor once most of the round clears the chamber. The originally fired Mini-Mag rounds ejected fine but that obviously was from gas pressure and not the extractor pulling the cases out.
So now I have to contact the dealer I bought it from to see how or if they are going to handle this. If they jerk me around I'll be doing a follow up post.
Overall the gun seems solid and accuracy was decent so I had high hopes for the Adler. Others seem to have had better luck so maybe I just got a lemon. Time will tell but at this stage I can't recommend it.

I've been contemplating one for my 8 year old as they love semi auto but mine is too big for them.
They have a cricket rifle already (worst trigger on any rifle I have fired ever) and I was hoping this would help bring back some enjoyment to shooting as the trigger just ruins it for them.

yeah probably made in turkey, I use the actual 10/22 mags in my RF 224 cause they insert easly and fall out when released and on another note the butler creek mag (neutered 25 rounder) won't work in my rf 224(feeding issues)
Hello all, I bought the RF224 from Tenda and it is what I expected it to be, a fun, easy to shoot .22LR rifle. It’s accurate enough to 50m if I do my job. Like many semis, it needs hotter loads. CCI Mini Mag at 1235fps work fine, but do a full cleaning before you shoot as it arrives a bit gummy with grease. I would say at least 100 rounds to break in. The shipped magazines, look like Rugers but are not Ruger mags. Reliable enough but nowhere near Ruger quality or reliability. The 597 magazine converter is well known to be not reliable. ProMag banana mags for the 10/22 are not dependable, they do not lift the round high enough for proper chambering if loaded to 10. Less than 10 in the mag functioned fine. I have switched to using real Ruger magazines and that so far has resolved the issue. I put a cheap ass dot on it and for fun mini gun stuff it’s good. I overspent and put a Spearhead Machine brake on it and at this point the muzzle doesn’t move on firing offhand, so pull fast and have fun. The factory trigger is meh, but it does improve as it gets broken in. Replacement triggers for 10/22s are not usable in this rifle, so you get what you’ve got. Be aware that as others have noted, there is no way to lock the bolt open, so a chamber flag is a must. I find that annoying personally but how much it bugs you is up to you. I compared it to the Derya in the same price point, and chose the Adler because of the metal not plastic construction. I preferred the Adler, your mileage may vary.
In fairness it just looks cooler than a general 10/22. Not as reliable and not as accurate but at $429 it is what it is.
