Rfb?

yeah your probably right... i probably have no idea what im talking about.. im also pretty sure there is no wait list with Gary at Wanstalls either.

Are you being sarcastic ? Anyways i think the demand has pretty much been met since the one on EE has no takers . There was even a new one for sell at wanstall after a cancelation so im pretty sure there no more wait list for the RFB . I didnt buy it because i want the KSG 1st !

I couldn't tell if he was being sarcastic either.

I base my $50 comment on the fact that I just picked up a FAB grip/bi-pod with flashlight holder from Ebay for $60 delivered and a clamp on rail or whatever that thing on the one on the EE has is far from my ideal attachment method.

Thanks for reminding me about the KSG, I think I need one of those as well. :shotgun:
I already have a Sub2000 and although it is a little cheap I just love it. Totally reliable now that I have a few hundred rounds through it and it fits in a backpack and can be thrown in the back seat of my truck. I mounted a rail on the bottom of the forend and put on an AFG and now I take it everywhere.

Anyone know how to tell the difference between the metric and non mags?
I got one off a buddy at work a while back but don't know if it's going to fit or not.

Thanks

Metric.mags have a small dimple on the front and imp. Ones have a huge soldered on lug

I like mine originally had a problem with the bolt carrier but have since upgraded to The new version

The best factory ammo I have found is remington 150grn core lokt averages 2-3"

My reloads use 150grn accubonds over imr4895 this yields me groups averaging an inch @ 100m

I'll have to check but if my memory is working tonight I think I have a metric one. Can't wait to get home to see.

RFB accuracy

I must have gotten a better RFB than most of the owners on this thread. I regularly get better than MOA with my hand loads and even have some approaching 1/2 MOA (.600").
My 3 shot group is usually averages around .900". This is using a bipod off the bench and no bags. 42 gr. of Varget,CCI primers,Federal brass and 150 gr Sierra Gamekings. I have no complaints about this uniquely designed and well made gun.

In fairness...I'm using factory ammo and a red dot (off a bag). So I'm not feeling bad about 2MOA...actually, I was initially quite impressed with it.

not 100% sure about the rfb but I know the ksg has a wait list,I talked to wanstalls 2 weeks ago and they told me not to expect one until next year.

I should add that my RFB was around 1.5 to 2 MOA with bulk factory ammo when I first got it. Hand loads shrunk the groups by a lot. One thing I didn't mention was the large amount of rear movement on recoil. Make sure you have a scope with a lot of eye relief and hold the rifle solidly or you will end up with scope marks or worse. The RFB is also very loud even with out a brake. Another good idea is to make a copy of the registration and place it inside the handle if you go out in the woods. The RFB is so compact and cool that most enforcement officers won't belive it is unrestricted. The RFB is worth every penny in my opinion.

Thanks for all the input guys,
Accuracy sounds to be acceptable with factory ammo and I just happen to have over 1000 rounds of 147gr fmj at home and if I can get it down to an inch or less with handloads I'll be happy with it.
I'm buying a new one next batch:)
I hate waiting for a new gun.

:kickInTheNuts:
That one makes me laugh every time.

Thanks again

Just to ad to what was already said, I have to inch mag and they work flawlesly, just gring the big catch flat!

Yup I did the same the front lug does nothing except to aid in rocking a full mag into place. I ground six, inch pattern mags down and they still fit just fine in my fal

Dollar for dollar a much better investment than a tavor , Nicer trigger, shorter OAL, WAY more accurate. THe only drawback is finding mags. I suspect allot of what people read online is because either the gas is on the wrong setting Or bubba stripped the rifle and didnt line it back up correctly when assembling it before trying it out.

Well I took the plunge. Found a deal at Epps for $2312 for brand new and they were in stock. I must have got the last one because when I checked back a day later they were all marked sold.

It should be home this week:)

I've got over 1000 rounds of S&B 147gr complaining that I'm neglecting it since I sold my M14:ar15:

Ran out and bought a Bushnell elite 6500 2.5-16x42 and a Burris P.E.P.R quick detach mount for it.

I can't wait.
Thanks again to everyone for their input.
