Rifle with pistol grip for hunting?

It arrived the other day. :D

The glossy scope doesn't really match, but it was all I had kicking around. I'll put a proper target scope on it after this years hunt.

Initial impressions are that it feels really good to hold and despite being pretty heavy for a hunting rifle I don't think I'll have any problem carrying it around.

The only thing that I might change is to swap on a shorter stock for the hunt so it will be easier to use with winter clothing. The grip position is very natural and it feels easy to move around for a fairly big rifle.

I'll be getting another x-ray in a couple days so hopefully the bone is healed enough that I can start shooting.

Sweet rig Nechako
I have the same model myself, but different stock and grips. I have magpull PRS stuff.
The barrel looks a bit heavy for a short range carry gun, but about right for competition or varmint.

How well does it shoot?
Thanks. The Magpul PRS seems very popular for these rifles.

I'm thinking about maybe trimming the barrel to drop some weight off the front. Eventually I will put on a new barrel but a shorter one would be nice for now.

I haven't shot it yet but hopefully I will before too long.

Looks awsome Nechako. Hope that x-ray goes well. You must be itchin to try it out.
Thanks, and yes I am. :D

Robinson Arms XCR

It's non-restricted in Canada. And it looks badass.

I was wondering how much and where I may find one as I am looking to buy my first hunting rifle so i may join my step dad in hunting on my parents farm in Stirling, they have 1000's of acres so I'm excited.
